If you have an image file (.iso, .img, .bin) use the Write mode. If you have other files, pictures , music, movies, use Build mode. Post a log as per the pink box above says.

I'm not native english and can't quite understand your "a little cryptic explanation" Can you explain in plain english what are you trying to accomplish? There are a lot of Guides on this forum basically for every possible task, you just need to follow them. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4 Maybe this is the Guide you need http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555

Make sure you have the latest chipset/storage drivers installed. Disable temporary your antivirus to see how it work.

Three times before the burn appears in the log "Volume Label: [Not Configured]" than on the burn disc I see "Image File Volume Identifier: 20110307B" It doesn't matter when you configure the label, before you hit the burn button or when it is suggested after the burn button is clicked. ImgBurn is doing its job beautiful. The rest is your system problem. Can you try the discs on other computer?

Is your player able to play NTSC or just PAL?

If you don't need Roxio for some special things that ImgBurn cant do, I suggest remove it. Than go back to Filter Driver Load Order and get rid of PxHelp20. Reboot after.
-
Take a look at what's starting up with the system maybe you can find something related to driver install that is persistent. Use this little tool http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/what_run_in_startup.html

It should take you to download AutoFix.exe The Microsoft AutoPlay Repair Wizard, didn't you get there? Do you have any other burning related or maybe some packet writing programs installed? Go to Tools > Filter Drive Load Order... click Copy To Clipboard and paste here.

If it plays OK on computer than probably a setting of zoom or panscan is activated on PS3. I don't know (don't have PS3) but probably there is a master reset to factory defaults somwhere in settings of PS3 that you can use. You should leave verify enabled. You are using an outdated version of ImgBurn.

I'll start by going to ABIT site and download and install the latest BIOS update, than try the latest NVIDIA chipset/storage controller driver.

By any chance did you have disabled Autoplay in Windows? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&displaylang=en

Anyway, it appears there is an firmware update for your drive 1.10, you currently have 1.00 installed. http://www.sony-asia.com/support/download/61505/sectionfirst?subpage=detail Maybe you should use DVD+R that can be book typed to DVD-ROM instead of DVD-R...

The lebel is there, before and after the burn. ImgBurn has done its job perfect. Your system is playing up. Update to current version of ImgBurn btw.
-
After you make the disc, switch to read mode and make an image of that disc. Take a look at the log, than to location where you saved the image and you'll figure out what I meant.
-
If it were to write CD-Text it shoud show in log You probably not followed correctly. You need to input the Performer and Title for every track one by one. If you read the disc to an image, does it show the titles in log than in cue of that image? Open it in Notepad? Does it ever produce the .cdt file along with the .img, .ccd and .cue files when read it back to an image?

Visiting Microsoft Update might discover that you don't have the drivers installed and suggest and provide them to install

What you have there is an old writer that don't like (recognize correctly) the new media or have no support at all in it's firmware for that media. You're kinda out of options with that computer/writer. Try use other computer/writer to burn that disc or try different media. Verbatim are recommended. P.S. You should take in consideration upgrading XP to SP3

Creating blu-ray from dvd architect iso w/imgburn
ianymaty replied to graphics's topic in ImgBurn Support
ImgBurn is a burning tool. It burns "as is". It will not convert or modify your files. In order to produce a working disc you should already have the files in a form according to what you want to be the disc. You can't expect that ImgBurn will sort out the problem if the files/iso don't play even on your computer as it should (as BD disc in your case) You need to sort out the problem with your converter (DVD Architect, as you mention) to produce a working iso. Only than you can burn it to disc with ImgBurn and expect to play as it should. You will use Burn image file to disc mode. -
ImgBurn always finalize the discs, you don't have to worry about that. Post the log as the pink box above instructs.
-
Does your player support playing avi. Not all players do. Look for a firmware update for your player. Maybe you need to convert the avi to standard DVD Video using DVD Flick or DVD Styler. Post a log with burn and verify.
-
Your drive don't like (support in firmware) the discs you are using. The media is 16x rated and it only shows it can burn it at 1x and 2x. Use quality media from Verbatim or at least try other media that not use the same MID/dye SONY16D1

MediaPortal ts (transport stream) file burning watchable DVD
ianymaty replied to jacveld's topic in ImgBurn Support
If selecting the output format Digital compression DVD will not produce a VIDEO_TS folder with .ifo, .bup, .vob files in it instead of .ts file than you need to convert it to that format. @ Rincewind According to DVD Video standard apart from the regular MPEG-2 video:
