Here are some things you can try http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

2x is not an option in your drive/firmware/media combination. Try with all the available speeds. In the log your drive is shown as (F:) (ATA) but your screen shows (G:) (RAID) Is your drive connected to a RAID controller port? Move it to a regular port.

Do you have the latest firmware installed on the Philips recorder? http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=DVDR3455H/37&scy=US&slg=en Try extract the titles from that disc with DVDShrink in Re-author mode or try DVDFab also to extract the titles you want and reauthor that disc. In past I used Ulead DVD Movie Factory to extract such titles from DVD-VR's from camcorders with success.

Your D: drive is still FAT32. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456984.aspx This Guide will help you with the other problem. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6376 Your version of ImgBurn is outdated. See my sig for the current version.

ImgBurn let you choose between "DAO/SAO", "TAO" or "Incremental", so no only "DAO" or "SAO". Use DAO/SAO regardless of media R or RW Whatever write type you use, if it is an RW disc you will allways be able to erase and write again that disc, don't get confused by closing the session or the disc fact.

What is the reason to use an external drive when you have two internal capable to do the thing?
-
You complicate things with no reason. Use Build mode and set target to drive, no need to create the intermediate ISO. Follow this Guide http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=9512 You can erase the DVDRW no matter if it is closed or not at any time you want. When ImgBurn close the disc, it is not possible to continue that session to add more data to that disc but after erase you have again the empty disc at your will to burn on it again. ImgBurn will prompt you if the disc needs to be erased before you attempt a new burn. Keep in mind that DVDRW are not so reliable in time and you have to to handle it with care to prevent it from scrathes and fingerprits. As long as it is in good shape, no problem to rewrite on it at any time.

The most important part is from top to the error, that part you cut it out from us. Just select all (Ctrl+A) copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) from the log window to here. If you closed ImgBurn already you can find the saved log via Help menu. This time don't miss the top part. A lens cleaning disc might help. Try all supported speeds.

Support for MP3, PCM, WAV and WMA should be built into Windows - at least it is on XP / Vista.
-
Post the full log, you missed the important info.
-
You have no DirectShow filters to decode the files. Note the second print. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555&view=findpost&p=91374

DVD-RW are not so reliable in time. Try a regular DVD. Try to full erase that RW or try a new one. A lens cleaning disc might help too.
-
If the burn and verify was successful, ImgBurn has done its job perfectly. Can you post that log?
-
If the recorder is SD than it will record in SD. The record format it should be DVD-VR. VideoStudio Pro X3 is HD editing program, be sure to set output to DVD Video. You should end up with a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO. You can burn it with the built in burning engine or use ImgBurn.

How long are those each (or combined) films? A DVD-5 will hold ~120 minutes at standard compression. It can hold more but in detriment of visual quality. 6 full movies are way to much to squeeze onto one disc. It should be 1 movie = 1 DVD Probably in project settings you'll find an option to play all or return after each title that you should activate or deactivate according.

If you want to express your gratitude and donate, you can do it. http://www.imgburn.com/ You are welcome, Thank you!
-
If it burned and verified OK than ImgBurn is done his job perfectly. On top of it, you confirm that the disc plays OK in stand alone player. You system configuration has the problem. You can disable/remove HP DVDSmart at startup if you do not want to start this application on insertion of a DVD

That setting: Eject Tray After... Read, affect only if you use "Read mode" aka "Create image file from disc", and has no effect on Explorer type read that is used in "Build mode" and that's the way it should be.
-
You can activate Disable Media Change Notification in ImgBurn settings by going to Tools/Settings/Device tab.
-
Your drive is old, using 8x rated media the only supported speed is 2.4x, that's not a good sign. Clean the lens with a cleaning disc or manual if you know how. Update your drive's firmware to 1.11 and try again http://www.firmwarehq.com/Matshita/UJ-841S/files.html If that fails again, try find 2.4x media (MKM-001-00) or by yourself a new drive, normal size in an external enclosure, avoid the slim/laptop drives.
-
If your player can play AVI's, all you need is Build mode, no need to create any folder, just drag the files in the root of the disc and burn it. If your player can't play AVI's than you have to convert the files to standard DVD Video structure (VIDEO_TS Folder) with DVDFlick or ConvertXtoDVD or similar program.

To keep them in order you have to rename them and put numbers in front of the names so it shows like 01 Artist - Song.mp3 02 Artist - Song.mp3 ... 09 Artist - Song.mp3 10 Artist - Song.mp3 ... 99 Artist - Song.mp3 If you have more than 99 songs, use three digit numbers 001, 002...
-
Give a try to DVDStyler http://www.dvdstyler.de/ If that also crash, than your system is having problems, I think.
-
Yeah, with some struggling. Your drive is playing up, I think. Just try with the new firmware and let it go.
