  1. Update your drive's firmware and try again http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-T50L/files.html You can try a lens cleaning disc, other speed available (8x, since you already tryed 4x) and other brand of discs.
  2. Probably you need to convert your files to a regular DVD Video with DVD Flick or similar program.
  3. Try change File System to ISO9660 + Joliet instead of ISO9660 + UDF
  4. 1. You can base on those. You can compare those TDK to Verbatim, The cleaner the picture, the better the burn. Open ImgBurn, look in the log for a line similar to this 2. Taiyo Yuden 3. You got that error because the target was set to a DVD 9 and ImgBurn can't find any cells, that can be used for the layer-break point. Did you read that Guide I linked? I think there is no reason to make an avi to fit a DVD 9, you can safely use a DVD 5 with almost any noticeable quality loss and save your money. Make your project in two steps, first encoding than the burn. To do that, untick Burn project to disc in DVD Flick Project Settings/Burning 4. Yes
  5. Not DVD Flick, that is the latest version. I meant ImgBurn that came with DVD Flick is old, 2.4.4.0 while the newest ImgBurn is 2.5.1.0 Get it from here
  6. Untick "Burn project to disc" in DVD Flick Project Settings/Burning and do it in two steps, 1. encoding part with DVD Flick, than use a software player to verify the result. 2. use this Guide to burn the final Video_TS folder to disc
  7. Post a new log with burn and verify session. The Booktype setting will be visible in the log after the burn at verify stage. Hopefully your drive can handle it correctly. It's OK, your drive can burn "DVD-RAM" format. More info here
  8. ImgBurn will not alter anything in your files. ImgBurn is not a part of DVD Flick, it is a standalone program that DVD Flick developer decided to bundle, instead of make his own burning engine. However, that version is old (2.4.4.0) and you should use the latest (2.5.1.0) available. Do the original files play nice before using DVD Flick? How about after converting them?
  9. Use ISO Buster and try extract all you can from that disc and build a new one
  10. 1. Look in Media section on the forum 2. Verbatim is recomended because they are the best. If a drive can't burn a Verbatim, that drive is considered useless. 3. You got "end of the world" error when burning an AVI file to the DVD? Hmmm. You mean a converted AVI to DVD. Read this 4. It's your problem from where you get DVD Video (IFO/BUP/VOB) files. Directly from an existing DVD Video or a converted file to DVD Video.
  11. ISO is a container and I think that WMP can't handle .iso files natively, but VLC should play it. Install Virtual CloneDrive and mount the .iso in it.
  12. Or use a program like DVD Flick to make a standard DVD Video (VIDEO_TS)
  13. Thanks mmalves. I was out to Italy for a week, now I'm back. Allways recommended to update to latest service pack. I hope you managed to sort out the firewall. If not, go to Tools/Settings.../Events/Check For Program Update, set it to Never. And you should go to Download and update ImgBurn to latest version.
  14. If you used a program to convert the 804mb to 5.143mb image, look in settings of that program and set target to DVD5.
  15. Optical drives, don't need drivers this days. Eventualy your drive needs a firmware update if there is one released. You need drivers for the motherboard chipset and storage controller to wich your drive is connected. Search on motherboard manufacturer site if you know the brand and model. This site may help you if you don't know the brand and model http://www.ma-config.com/
  16. No, ImgBurn is a burning program. You have to use some authoring program to combine them and make a menu.
  17. No, there is no dedicated Copy button in this program. The easyest way is to use Create image file from disc, tick the Add To Write Queue When Done, wait to finish image creation, Switch to Write image file to disc and hit the big button, you can tick the Delete Image file when done, wait to finish the burn, Success.
  18. If it is due to PAL/NTSC zone, you can't do anything to that disc. Probably one player plays both standards and the other one just one PAL or NTSC.
  19. Other than that, your drive has an firmware update http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/TS-L633P/files.html
  20. You have to prove that with leagal papers, in case. It's not enough to just say I made it, I own it, it's mine and you can't copy it.
  21. Burning at 4x takes around 15 min, as Cynthia said and has nothing to do with HD, as you converted that already to standard DVD Video with VideoRedo. Do the files play fine on the computer? Try updating chipset/storage drivers and try what mmalves said. If it can't burn Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden your drive is dying.
  22. No, you can't. There is no such feature for home user on regular burned discs, only in factory pressed disc, and that imply a cost for licencee to use the encryption.
  23. There is no support in ImgBurn for multisession, yet. LUK! said that it might be added sometime in the future when he has time and feel to add it. No promise.
  24. GSpot is a little program that can: ● Establishes what codecs (audio and video) are required to play an media file. ● Determines whether these codecs are installed on your system. ● Isolates problems associated with these codecs. ● Isolates problems associated with media files ● Shows framerate, duration, aspect ratio, bitrates, "hidden" info, and more. If you had clicked on it (notice it's a link?) it will redirect you to official site http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ mmalves has given you another program for the same thing. Just choose one and examine the differences between the files that work and that not work on player.
  25. I did read somewhere, LUK! mentioned it come from Elby's CloneCD.
