It's a really bad burn - well out of ECMA specs (as a comparison, my Samsung burner with MCC003 media rarely has PI errors greater than 10, or PO errors greater than 2). Do it again and forget about OTF burning (as, in fact, it wasted time, not saved it). Regards

Go to Tools --> Settings --> File Locations and set valid paths for those items. For example, most times, your log files is set to: But you can set it anywhere - eg your desktop. Regards

Sometimes, you really need a good cleanout of a machine. I routinely use a few cleaners which I trust (one of which is Registry Mechanic). But all's well that end's well, Larry, and great to have you with us. I hope you have lots of good burns with ImgBurn. Regards

Burning DVDvideo on sigle layer disc without update of IFO/BUP
blutach replied to pepe07's topic in ImgBurn Support
Please see here for an explanation of what changes are being made. Do not fret about your IFO files being updated. As for Ner0, ask them. Regards -
Yeah - if you wanna make checksums, make an ISO first. It was both right and wrong. It was right if you wanna pack the disc closely together sector by sector. But, as I've explained, this is the wrong thing to do. Remember IfoEdit has not been updated in years. Much better is PgcEdit, which at least allows for 32k buffers. Good luck in your burning. Remember, for DL burns, ONLY use Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore. BWAHAHAHAHAHAA Regards

They are not "address errors". All that is being done is that the pointers to the start of titlesets are being adjusted for their actual physical position on the disc, given padding, your selected layer break, etc. IfoEdit is trying to set them back to a situation where the disc is crowded together one sector after another (a very dangerous and incorrect practice in a DL burn, which Ner0 uses - or at least used to use). Remember, a player is dumb - really dumb. It knows nothing of filenames etc. When a disc is inserted, it goes around looking for DVDVIDEO_VMG which indicates the start of VIDEO_TS.IFO. From various internal pointers in that file, it determines where the PTT_SRPT table starts. This table contains, amongst other things, the start sectors of the titlesets. From there, each titleset has various internal internal pointers. If a VTS is padded, (as it usually must be to honour the rules of DL recording), some of these VTS internal pointers get shifted a bit, too. So, "correcting" these things with IfoEdit is actually "breaking" them. You get it? There is nothing to be worried about. If you construct a disc that needs no padding (i.e. the LB will always fall on an ECC boundary - sector number divisible by 16), then it is unlikely you will see these variances again. If the LB does not fall on an ECC boundary, you can see that "crowding the sectors together" will be incorrect. So, you pad a bit (i.e. skip over some sectors) and change the VTS start sector references. No. I have never had a DL disc not play properly. Stop worrying. Regards

Man, you should be happy - autoplay is a real PITA (at least IMHO). Anyway, check out this key in regedit: HKeyLocalMachine/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/CDRom Change autoplay from 0 to 1 and reboot. Regards

Who could believe that we still let 50,000 of you in annually? Well, it seems that they are biased toward the ladies thank goodness. I'm sure this is an oxymoron. Regards

And don't forget about the backpacker murders AC! If we really don't like poms, we take 'em out in the desert and well, you know what. Regards

I can't believe how restrained I have been all this time. Just keeping quiet sets a new record for me in being polite to fucking wankers. Still, I must weigh in ... Because you've been told before by the guy who owns the bloody prog that he'll not be making the changes you want. Now, STFU and stop whinging like a 9 year old. No-one here is interested in having a mindfuck/debate with you, which, irrespective of whomever wins, will have absolutely no bearing on what actually happens in the GUI or any other part of the program. Regards

I think we should keep the EZ picker quotes, too, but the option is there for stuffshirts to turn them off. Regards

All 2nd layers have much higher PIE/PIFs - it's the nature of the beast. Provided they are within ECMA spec, you can be happy. Of course, only use Verbatim, +R, 2.4x, MKM-001-00, Made in Singapore. Regards

Well done Dopey - you are not at all like your nick! Regards

Post a burn log, so we can see what media and firmware you have please. Regards

Finalise Disc Failed! - Reason: Program Memory Area Update Failure
blutach replied to Sliztzan's topic in ImgBurn Support
FWIW - I have OPC off in my Samsung 203B burner and it gets incredible results with that media. Regards -
If you wanna see the paths in their glory, click on the green "switch to large size" arrow icon (omitted from your diagram), or press Alt-Enter. I guess suggestions are always welcome, but it really is up to LUK to design his program the way he wants. If there are a preponderance of people who want changes, he'll observe this and make them. Otherwise, you're just flogging a dead horse by continuing on. In any event, LUK has hinted changes to build mode - search for posts by him over the last month. Regards

Somthing about some woman whose gunna give birth to a (literal) bastard gunna run for president, I heard. Crikey! Regards

Hi nwg, Doesn't mean the wiki's right, of course. But it's a start! Best to download a copy of the specs and read thru them. Regards
