  1. Have a look at your firmware's speeds using media code speed edit. Regards
  2. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA =)) What you're suggesting, you utter ning-nong, is tantamount to saying that if you take a Word document and change its extension from doc to xls, it magically becomes an XL one. Some computer expert!! BTW: You CAN do this with VOB to MPG (as VOB files are a subset of the MPEG-2 specification - which, unlike you, I do actually know something about). Regards
  3. This month's PC World has nominated ImgBurn as Tool of the Month. Way to go! Regards
  4. Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with the Singaporean ones, though. Regards
  5. Memorex is the brand. The dye is CMC, which is trash. Use Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens. You can try the newer burner and lower your write speed. Regards
  6. More than likely. Go buy the DVD, which will be properly authored and don't tell us about illegal movie downloads please. This media is very low quality. Trash even. Your burner is getting very long in the tooth. Regards
  7. A pretty pink one with a feather? Regards
  8. Like a worm LFC. And it's working! Back On Topic: Good to see you Mike. Regards
  9. Yes. The writer is padding layer 1 with 0s to match the size of layer 0. Get it closer to 50/50 - in that case, you won't write so close to the edge of the disc, either. As for the criteria, I am sure this is covered somewhere else (try a search or the guides). Excellent is at the start of a title or titleset. Very Good is at a VobID change. Regards
  10. How can married life suit anyone? Regards
  11. Does the middle of nowhere resemble the edge of reason? Regards
  12. It's called write mode - Ctrl-Alt-W to get there. Regards
  13. You can open the log window and "dock it" against the ImgBurn window. It does remember the last position you opened it. Regards
  14. Here's yourt main trouble Fred. This media is pretty shabby and many players will reject it. Get better media - we recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. If you must stick with these cheap discs from India, slow the burn down. Regards
  15. It's a data disk. All versions of Windows from XP on can natively read 1.02 for sure. Some can read higher version (VISTA, I believe can read 2.50). But stick with the lowest common denominator. Regards
  16. Instead of him taking it to their forums (or better still fixing his pirated avi himself), he started a whole new topic, where he whinges and moans and bumps his posts if they are not immediately answered. Christ all bloody mighty. Wolverine - what has your crappy conversion of a pirated download got to do with ImgBurn? Puh-leeeeze; save us all from him. Regards
  17. Why did I know this would would happen? You shoulda kept your big mouth closed KimslanD. :D Well said though, spinner! Regards
  18. Newer burners - like in the last 3 years - have "BURP" - Buffer UnderRun Protection, so that when buffers empty the laser isn't burning and messing up your burn. That said, it is better if the buffers do not empty as it can affect the quality of the burn (as LUK says). Nevertheless, your burn verified (this is done bit for bit and on an MD5 hash checksum), so the data is there and readable - at least by your DVD drive. Regards
  19. Check out the grey hairs mate! Regards
  20. It depends on whether you have stripped streams. Can you play the DVD Shrink output (before burning) in a software player and hear anything? If so, the project is OK and you have a problem with your player hardware. If not, you have probably stripped the audio streams and need to re-encode. Re the email notification, it may be just the board being narky or your email client blocking it as possible spam. Regards
  21. Play the project in media player classic or VLC or any other software player and see if you can hear the audio. ImgBurn does nothing to the audio on a movie. Regards
  22. Nothing to do with multisession. It is just a convenient place to drop files/folders. Regards
  23. Also, there's literally dozens of threads on this game. Maybe try to use search. Regards
  24. Thanks for all the hard work and for being such a perfectionist LUK! Regards
  25. Just for your info, almost every player here in PAL land plays NTSC happily. It's only in R1 that they seem to be xenophobic. Regards
