  1. If you have SATA available, I'd get the SATA versions of these drives.
  2. A large baseball bat is my friend. http://www.something.com/
  3. You are very welcome...happy burning.
  4. I'd suggest an Optiarc 7200 or a Pioneer 116
  5. It would help us help you if you'd post a burn log
  6. It's not an Imgburn issues....the 2.4X is down to your hardware/firmware. As you can see from your log 2.4 isn't supported so you'll need to choose 2X. The discs are rated for 2.4X so choosing anything above that will be overspeeding and not recommended, especially with DL projects. If you've updated the firmware to 1.01 it didn't take...I'd try again. The firmware may fix the compatiblity issues you are seeing with the Verbatim media. EDIT: Actually, checking the ASUS website it lists 1.00 as the current firmware for your drive.... http://support.asus.com/download/download....p&f_type=20
  7. No, Imgburn doesn't support multisession burning. Once you start burning you cannot add anything else to it later.
  8. post a log please.
  9. I like to hang them from my rear view mirror.
  10. And lots of other types of data.
  11. Firmware for most common drives can usually be found easily via a google search and in some cases you can find the modified stuff and tools to go with them if you know where to look. It was a handy feature when rpc1 had their shit together, but as you say I don't think they give a rats arse anymore. As you can see Blu has let the cat out of the bag
  12. Give us an example of what you want to see before burning.
  13. Aren't you choosing the files to be written to the disc?
  14. As volvo stated, we need a log to give you the best advice.
  15. Have you found the drop zone? You can also drag and drop files into the gui itself
  16. Here is some good reading for you ~ http://booktypefaq.com/ EDIT: Looks like k-probe could use an update to their guide.
  17. DVD2One isn't free but it has a trial to see if it's worth buying.
  18. Have you set the booktype with Binflash?
  19. Use read mode to copy the CD-R to your HDD and then switch to write mode and burn the rip to your DVD.
  20. If there is an mds accompanying the ISO I typically choose it out of habit, but unless you are burning a DL disc it really doesn't matter.
  21. could you list the gadgets you are using?
  22. That is close enough...he suggested the 8X version, which may be slightly better but you should do good with the 16X Yudens.
  23. Ditto, I haven't bought a -R in years.
