  1. That's some deep C-H-I-T
  2. As corny suggests...Verbatims only, I see you are using C-H-I-T discs so what you will get is C-H-I-T in = C-H-I-T out.
  3. Coulda sworn I already posted this.... Power Calibration Errors: 1. Bad, cheap media 2. Burner not getting proper power from PSU 3. Burner is faulty You eliminated number three as a possibility unless you were unlucky enough to get a bad drive. EDIT: I did, I did post it already...what is going on with this silly internet?
  4. If you look at the bottom of the page I linked you too it lists the date of the last update...yours was Sept of '04. Old drive + new media = headaches.
  5. Because of the Power Calibration Error.... Usually bad discs (cheap) or burner not getting the power it needs from the PSU or the drive is faulty. You took care of the last possibility by buying a new drive.
  6. If they burn at all!
  7. I thought this forum was for Imgburn support.
  8. Why so slow...I really wouldn't go below 8X. Burning too slow can be just as bad as burning too fast. I'd also invest in some Verbatims, while some have good luck with the Sony brand others don't. Modified firmware can be found here if you want to have a crack at it: http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/Optiarc-AD-7170A/ Just saw where your other drive had similar problems.... Have you checked your PSU?
  9. Your updated firmware is over three years old....you can struggle with it if you like though. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1596
  10. Me too Blu... Austin Powers: Come again? Alotta Fagina: Alotta Fagina Austin Powers: Oh, I'm sorry, I'm just not getting it, it sounds like you said your name was a lot of um... never mind! Austin Powers: Shall we shag now, or shall we shag later? How do you like to do it? Do you like to wash up first? You know, top and tails... whore's bath? Personally, before I'm on the job, I like to give my undercarriage a bit of a 'how's your father'! Austin Powers: She's the village bicycle! Everybody's had a ride. Austin Powers: Allow myself to introduce... myself! Austin Powers: That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman! Alotta Fagina: In Japan, men come first and women come second. Austin Powers: Or sometimes not at all. Dr. Evil: Begin the unnecessarily slow-moving dipping mechanism!
  11. I've never seen a wookie blush....nice work Linda.

    mmalves.....

Happy birthday bud...have many Dos Equis XXX on me. With lime of course.
  13. Verbatim and nothing else.
  14. I'm with the rest and use the hacked firmware when available....always seems to do a better job than the stock stuff they slap together in the lab while trying to just churn out new drives.
  15. I'd like to see the price comparison too....that thing probably cost a mint back in the day.
  16. LUK could wear a cape and red underpants in either scenario really.
  17. He's ripping guys. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/566012 Using cheap media from the get go.
  18. Glad you had a good experience with it...I would be interested to see the graph data/scan from one of the NX2 discs though. Any way you could post up some screenshots?
  19. Jack Nicholson ~ As Good As It Gets "Sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here."
  20. Kurt Russell from Tombstone "Are you going to do something or just stand there and bleed?" One of my all time favorites.
  21. A splash screen is an interesting idea and vbulletin has different themes that are easily downloaded and applied as skins...although a personal touch would be nice.
  22. You can use DVD Flick and it will auto burn with Imgburn once the conversion is finished too...although checking the files before burning is a good idea as chewy stated.
  23. Where has the OP run off to?
  24. this looks very wrong That is a little bass ackward isn't it.
