There's a new version of the installer that has the uniblue icons disabled by default and unless they're enabled in the installer, the items in the Tools menu won't appear either.

If you deselect to install the Uniblue stuff, the next time you install ImgBurn through the installer, it will already be deselected for you.
but how to remove the ADS under the TOOLS menu then???

I would prefer to pay for ImgBurn rather than seeing those things in the installer...

Thank you for all the work on this new version.
I am wondering if this new version has multi-session burning. What I mean is: If I burn some files to a CD, can I leave the CD open and go back later an add some more files to the same CD?
I have been hearing for some time that this feature would come in a future version. If not now, when might I expect this feature?

Look at any electronic stores or even at Wal-MArt...
but, the only Dual-Layer DVD's i trust are VERBATIM 2.4x DVD+R DL [MKM-001-00]

yepp! use Verbatim DVD+R Dual-Layer!!
but burn as DVD-ROM

to reach the maximum % success rate when burning
#1- use VERBATIM DVD-R, best brand!
#2- install latest firmware for your dvd burner
#3- its a good idea to use a DVD Lens CLeaner too!
#4- Dont burn too fast...

Thanks. Kind of a dumb question, but how do i update the firmware. I see that I need to download the file you linked to, but do I need to save it to a certain place?
no no...
just download the .zip file to your desktop...
then extract the content from the .zip file
then double-click on this file --> AD-7580S FD06\AD-7580S FD06\WIN\Optiarc AD-7580S_ FD06.EXE
let it do its job, dont touch the computer
then reboot your pc
your done
