This may be a stupid question, but, do they make CD-R's of larger than 80 minutes/700 MB? I've a CD I want to create but the source files come out to an annoying 80 minutes and 11 seconds. I can't trim down the length of the files and I can't remove any more files from the source list. So, my only option seems to be to burn to a larger size CD-R, 90 minutes if they make one, etc. Thanks!

God, I feel so stupid. When I said I uninstalled MediaPlayerConnectivity plug in... I didn't. I uninstalled some other one that was first in my list. I take medication that sometimes makes me do dumb things. Anyway, uninstalling that plug in was all it took.

I tried most of that already. All I didn't try was to uninstalling QTA first and then reinstall it. I just tried reinstalling it. I'll give it a go.

This only helped in that now the first frame of the MOV appears with the player controls after it downloads, but, then disappears and is replaced by a container. Well, I tried first disabling and then uninstalling, but, the MediaConnectivity container, i.e. double click on it and MediaConnectivity opens, still appears. This is on that first link I sent.

Okay, I disabled MediaConnectivity and I still have the three containers, even after restarting Firefox, that appeared in the above trailers page for 28 Weeks Later.

If it helps, here's something else I'm encountering on the 28 Weeks Later trailers. At http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_atomic/28weekslater/ Where it has Watch The Trailer Large, Medium, Small, IPod, and HD Trailer are all buttons but next to HD Trailer are three containers (That was the word I was looking for.) that then open MediaConnectivity.

I just get an empty holder, whatever those things are called, for the plug in when I try to access the High version of the Surf's Up Trailer. Clicking on it says unable to find the player. Checking MediaPlayerConnectivity that opens appears to be missing a reference for QuickTime. I expect one anyway. In Media players, there's one for Real and one for Windows Media Player. But, I was expecting one for QuickTime via Media Player Classic. Is that what is missing? More importantly, how do I fix it. BTW, forgot: http://gd-tangent.tsunami-art.com/view.aspx?Rec=210

After some more testing, it seems to be a case of where it doesn't always work with some content. On the same site, other QT files will eventually load which causes the player to "kick start" and play the file in question. Let me try some of those Apple trailers as a common point of reference test.

I am trying QuickTime Alternative as an alternative to the monolithic QuickTime. However, my experience has been that QuickTime Alternative cannot be an alternative to QuickTime. After uninstalling QuickTime and installing QuickTime Alternative, no QuickTime plug ins work in Firefox. Do QuickTime files work with plugins for Firefox or do they not and that's what I'm not aware of. Thanks!

Talking about where are its weapons, etc. to me, it seems so unlikely that a Dalek would do this. Daleks are genetically bred to believe they are the superior form of life. To merge with a human being... it's blasphemy. Granted, this is one of the Cult Of Skaro that is supposed to be individualistic thinking Daleks and may have decided if you can't beat them, join them.

Ah, so it does require changing BOTH the CurrentControlSet and ControlSet001. I've seen more and more instances in my .REG files where I've added changing both because I wasn't sure if changing just the CurrentControlSet worked. It sometimes seemed to work and sometimes didn't in my tests.

Wow, that's just weird. Sort of a return to Nekros thing with Daleks filling their ranks with human donors. It would be interesting to see the Emperor as one of those. Talking about a blasphemer: a Dalek walking around!

Hey, thanks! I never expected a Vista answer at all! I admit, I don't search Microsoft often for answers to my Microsoft questions. Past results have NOT been encouraging. If anyone still knows what Registry key might control Hibernate, the question is still open on that. I could in theory create a .REG file to make it easier to turn off with just a double click.

Anyone know where the Registry the keys are stored that turn off/on the Hibernate function in XP? Or Vista? In XP, you could easily turn off this disk space hog with a check box in Power Options. Thus getting rid of the HIBERFIL.SYS file in the root directory that apparently is always in use and equals your total amount of RAM. In Vista, this function seems to have been removed from Power Options. You can set Sleep and Hibernate advanced options to Never, but, that does not get rid of HIBERFIL.SYS. Even after reboot. Or if anyone knows of a Registry key or a setting that can change the location of the C:\HIBERFIL.SYS, that can work as well as I can set the location of the file to the TEMPDIR partition I created, which never gets backed up. Though I know no one will reply with anything helpful thanks!

We could REALLY stretch and say the Sontarans are the new Time Lords now? Or, maybe, they were also destroyed in the Time War.

Here's one thing I've wondered. If the Doctor could sense that there are no other Time Lords after the Time War, then, Susan must either be dead or not a direct relation to the Doctor. Not her real grandfather, just a grandfatherly figure she called Grandfather. Last we saw, if we don't count Legacy Of The Daleks, she was living on circa 2150 AD Earth. Well, technically, the last we saw her was on Gallifrey in the Death Zone. But, supposedly, everyone was returned to their proper time and place at the end of The Five Doctors. However, wouldn't it be a great way to bring back another companion for a one shot story? I believe Carol Ann Ford is still alive. Susan could well be the last of the Time Lords in that event.

There was also a Cyberwoman in the Big Finish production, Real Time, which I think was also a BBCi story first? And, I believe on the American release of Curse Of Fatal Death, there was a show sketch included of a sort of cyberized Margaret Thatcher. As for when the show starts on Sci-Fi, of course, it won't start until the BBC gets its first run broadcast rights worth. So, what, at least 13 weeks?
