  1. Pining away over this thread? Buttered cones for tea? Going to hold a conifirerence?
  2. That used to be called Spam.
  3. Ah, the seeds of an idea. I think MJ leaves this topic open when it should be forgotten, bud I digress.
  4. In France, the answer would be Wii.
  5. I got rid of a bothersome stump around here with just an axe and some gasoline. I cut out a triangular chunk from the largest root I could find. But, not a clear cut through, just a partial slice. Then, I poured gasoline into the slice I'd taken out. The root drank in the gas like water and in a few weeks, the stump just crumbled. Put on some boots and stamped the thing out flat to get rid of the rest.
  6. If you really want a new version, I'm sure LUK can be persuaded to release a beta version to you in exchange for a thousand Pound donation.
  7. I can definitely relate to Riteks behaving oddly on the 500a. They apparently changed the dye in some way because the 4x's stopped writing at 4x on the drive. All other 4x brands I tested wrote at 4x, but, the Riteks only at 2x. I would recommend what others have and try another brand and see how it goes.
  8. I had a weird thing happen with my fan when installing 2 more GB once. The fan was making more noise than usual, like the blades were hitting on something. Then, it just went away. Anyway, as suggested, yeah, I'd first remove the RAM you added and see if it happens. If not, then, remove the old RAM that was in there and put the new RAM in the same sockets and see if it repeats. If not, then, put the 2 old ones in the sockets the new ones had been in and repeat. This should rule out if the new RAM itself is the direct cause.
  9. Oh, come on... with a subject like Playing with my Wii and no one has made any comments yet? "Well, PLEASE keep that to yourself! Behind the closed bathroom doors like we all did."
  10. Oh, I read about this some time ago. Funny how things Doctor Who just sort of come Full Circle...
  11. When I first saw that clip, I really thought it was Tom Baker saying "Dead Ringers" at the start. Then, I wondered if, maybe, Baker was doing the voice over while someone was lip synching. But, no, as I noticed, it was just a well, dead ringer, which is where I guess the title comes from? I suppose we'll have to turn it into a reality game show here in the States. "Can YOU imitate President Bush? Brad Pitt? Paul Lynde? Then, America wants to hear it! Spot On! The new show for wanna be impressionists! Hosted by Jon Byner and Rich Little!"
  12. No, that's Animal Smack Ups with Gail The Whale. Actually, I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if it was based on a UK show. A whole lot of American shows were: All In The Family, Three's Company, American Idol, Sanford And Son, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Deal Or No Deal, The Weakest Link, The Sketch Show, Coupling, The Office...
  13. Oh, man, that Dead Ringers sketch was so funny! What is this Dead Ringers? And the guy playing Baker's Doctor had a good imitation of the voice going.
  14. I can imagine the Hartnell Cybermen on American Idol. They just drop their jaws and out pours pre-recorded singing. Or, what is the name of the show in the UK? Cyberman Idol!
  15. Super Sonic Hogs? The closest we might have had to anything like a Harold The Hedgehog in the US was the "host" of a kids game show on ABC called Reggie The Hedgie. The game was called Animal Crack Ups.
  16. Except the ones with the black handles, I guess.
  17. You mean... Pertwee wasn't a natural blonde?! :&
  18. Well, there was already Father's Day. So, an episode called Mother's Day could feature Jason.
  19. A chainsaw wielding maniac and Daleks... that can only be Absolom Daak!
  20. From Afterdawn: Doctor Who rental contains nasty surprise 28 January 2007 19:52 by Dela Consumers who rented a DVD of BBC's Doctor Who series got some unexpected extras. Reportedly, they not only had the episodes of the TV show, but also scenes from the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. UK tabloid The Sun reported that "a manufacturing blunder led to footage of a maniac hacking off limbs appearing midway through an episode seen by hundreds of families" The episode in question was "New Earth", the first episode of the second season, dispatched by online movie rental giant Netflix. A BBC insider said the mistake may have occurred because "both DVDs were made at the same time for release on the same day". The BBC has released a statement to address the issue. "Due to a manufacturing problem, Disc One of the Netflix copies of 'Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series' DVD collection contains incorrect footage from another film. The special features section on Disc One is also inaccessible on rented Netflix copies." "This error is only found on Disc One of Netflix copies of the series, not on any Doctor Who DVDs available for purchase in stores. We are doing our best to rectify this problem as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience or distress."
  21. I'm not even certain I understand that...
  22. When was it (Tooth And Claw?) when the Doctor said his name was James McCrimmon?
  23. LUK, since we at one time had the same motherboard, and may still do, I've got a question about this line in logs that may appear: W 00:09:57 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Not Supported! - Update your motherboard / IDE drivers!!! How would one check for an update to their IDE drivers? I doubt I can help this problem with an update of the drivers, should I not have update to date ones. But, it's a far easier solution to try it than to update the mobo. Thanks!
