Nor mine - I use PSP Video 9 for my sons PSP DVD conversions - no problems with it at all and the results on hi-res are stunning. We did have to get him a 2gb card tho....

Mmm the problem with 16x discs is burning them at 16x !!! Well it is on the ones I tested...... I have the Taiyo Yuden 16x DVD-R's [TYG03] and the ones burnt at 16x are no where near the same quality as those burnt at 8x Same goes for other 16x discs I tried.....

As I said this has been noticed on a backup of Series 2 24 which I did two years ago..... A lot of my early back ups of the kids stuff is on the same discs so I will check those out and see if these discs come from a rogue spindle or they are just reaching the end of their shelf life....

I couldn't agree more - nearly all my drives have come from SVP and my Epson Printer. I wouldn't buy blank discs from anyone else either - the few times i have had problems they have fixed them without a quibble and I recommend them to all my friends. SVP also provided a huge selection of their media for the tests in Drive/Media tests topic, which enabled the ImgBurn forum to have a pretty extensive range of tests......

Unfortunately there is nothing to be saved with cheaper Dual Layer discs, the quality just isn't up to the Verbatims !

Can you post the ImgBurn log with the Media ID in it ? Then we can see what make the dye is on the discs....

Yeah they do, like the CMC MAGS - but I still believe that if you sell something that's advertised at 16x you should expect to get a decent performance at that speed. Take performance cars, if you purchased a top of the range sports model that claimed a top speed of 160 mph, yet when you drove it at those speeds it drove like a bag of snot; would you accept that ? Would you think oh its ok I will drive it at 80mph so that it doesn't shake all over the road ? Of course you wouldn't.....
