  1. Even allowing for the lack of jitter they don't look bad mate
  2. Bwahahahahaha ! Do Blockbuster know they have donated them to you yet ?
  3. She's one in a million mate !!
  4. That's what I drive at !
  5. That and the grasp (or lack of it) of the English language......... Mind you I always read them tho as they might be from volvo !!
  6. I would recommend the Pioneer DVR 111 drive as well, I have this one below which writes to all formats, including RAM http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1055 However if you won't really use the RAM write function then the sister model the DVR 111D is also available and cheaper too ! http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1020 (If you know what you are doing I believe the above drive can be flashed to the RAM version as well)
  7. DVD?RW drives for PC's are cheap now but the RW drives for laptops are still expensive.....
  8. Does Nero have a paid support telephone number ?
  9. That's what the Mrs said last night too !
  10. Donta's Independent Trading probably has a few as well !!!

  13. Try some of your "problematic" burnt discs in another DVD player and see if the problem persists
  14. The deceased relative one really cracks me up cos the e-mail address they contacted is my lfcrule1972 one, I can hardly contain my excitement that someone has that as a surname !!!
  15. Personally I would show it to as many ladies as possible mate !
  16. I had problems with that media too on the 3x drives I tested it on. As kev said - Verbatims are more reliable for DL burns PM
  17. The forum ? That wouldn't give that error altho 2 instances of the program ImgBurn would
  18. Yeah the "upgrades" don't always work Shamus so the Cyber controller tries to re-coup some of the cost by selling them on ! I like the Tardis USB thingy !!!
  19. I second polo's opinion, if you have tried crap and excellent media and are getting the same errors I would say the drive is knackered
  20. Holy shit - I have won the lottery as well as having a distant dead relative
  21. Looks like I might be in for a windfall NOT !!!!!
  22. Don't forget to let us know how you get on
  23. Bad media can be hit and miss, some work others don't ! Look in the Drives/Media forum for burns on different drives with the same media, some are consistently bad whereas others appear to burn ok. Personally that frustration is too annoying for me so I go with the good discs - Verbatims and Taiyo Yudens that are available: www.svp.co.uk - UK/Europe www.meritline.com - USA
  24. I have never had any of my drives including the Pioneer on USB donta
