Mmm, been burning a few more of my US discs lately and all have been reaching 96% plus on the Pioneer DVR-111 donta. I will order some more from the US when I need em cos at the price I am happy to use the DL's a bit more regularly. I have to admit tho the one failure I have had with DL's was on the BenQ DW1655 with latest fw, I just burnt all the others on the Pioneer so I don't really know whether it was a 1 off or an issue with the BenQ's....

I can just add to this as Lightning UK! knows I had all sorts of trouble writing RAM discs with my NEC 4550A on1.08 fw. It couldn't even format the RAM discs..... However the Pioneer was fine with them, formatted ok, not sure about the verify tho as my BenQ DW1655 doesn't seem able to scan them properly - need to get a Liteon to do proper scans on these.... In short if you want to write to these RAM discs avoid the NEC's until they sort them out.

Well we can't help you with ripping problems - that was the realm of DVD Decrypter which is no longer supported for legal reasons - sorry. A Google search might lead to something.

ImgBurn cannot find a VIDEO_TS.IFO file, which means that the files are not correct to build a DVD image. You should look again at the source files are they .iso or .vobs etc ?

If you had the previous version installed on your PC the .exe install program will still be wherever you saved it Btw I have a Dell Machine running XP Pro and have never had this issue - as the boss said it's a strange one.....

Also this may be a faulty spindle of discs, it would be unlikely but not unheard of. Has this drive ever successfully burnt DVD+R DL Verbatims for say 5 or more discs in a row ? Looks like a few reviewers have seen problems with DL Media and this drive but nothing major: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters.php?DV...p;Search=Search Do you have another drive you can check the discs with ? If not I would try and return the discs to wherever you got them from, and then if the new discs are no better RMA the drive.

I don't tend to use RW's an awful lot so can't really give you a lot of experience on this MJ That said maybe the full erase better prepares the disc for re-writing and that is why Verbatim recommend it. I would suspect a faulty disc if the error was in the same place but you have said it's not so maybe the errors are from the quick format process ?
