  1. Mmm well it works ok for me and I am no fan of MS stuff but I have no issues with it - it does what it says on the tin and as its pre-installed I will stick with it.
  2. Ah so I see Erm is the boss breastfeeding that small child ??
  3. One less step for you and a good job with ImgBurn - what more could you want ?
  4. You can't set the region coding via ImgBurn and I didn't think you could do it via ConvertXtoDVD either. Does the Toshiba play other DVDs that you have burnt ?

and here, especially if I factor in the exchange rate....
  6. Well I use ZoneAlarm Pro, Spybot and Ad-Aware !! Well you can never be too careful....
  7. Just returning to the Verb DVD-R DL part of this topic, I bought a standalone DVD recorder at the weekend to use with the TV. I bought a Panasonic one that records to DVD?R(W), DVD RAM, DVD+R DL and it also claims to be record to DVD-R DL's...... So I am thinking that I might just be able to record to those last 3x -R DL's that I received for testing !!! We shall see tho....
  8. My God spinner - are you joining us in the 21st Century ??
  9. I tend to do quite a lot of burning over the season - need to get away from the family !!!

http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1545 Here is a DVD-RW that I tried with mixed results, in the media forum there are also tests of DVD+RW's kirk
  11. Looks like LUK! has been working out a bit.... Whose the cheeky babe in the pink dress lmao2k ?
  12. I thought we were discussing blank DVDs too! I might be wrong but CD-R dye quality seems to be far less of an issue, I have loads of cheapo ones and they all playback fine....
  13. You might be lucky.....
  14. No worries Lisa
  15. Very good, you might have missed it but there is a jokes section here - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=15
  16. If you check out the media/drives section of the forum (link below) you will see that the media you are using is not recommended. For Dual Layer burns we only recommend Verbatim DVD+R DL discs as nothing else is as reliable. As for the burn speed question if your drive/firmware only support 4x burning of those discs that is all ImgBurn will be able to burn them at.
  17. Mmm I thought it was only DVD+R's that required that part of the process but I might be confused - it happens !! CMC MAG are terrible discs and you would do well to buy Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs in future....
  18. Swedish movies eh ?
  19. Well you need the DVD in the drive that originally displayed the error for it to attempt to close the disc. What I would guess (we still need the log - see below) is that maybe the disc is no good and can't be closed manually. Log - ImgBurn auto saves the logs now, via the settings you can see where they default save, find this on your PC and then copy paste the log into your next post. I suspect your media might not be the best hence these problems.....
  20. As donta said, we can see you selected a 2x burn speed but ImgBurn is using 4x which, in the absence of a log leads us to the conclusion that 2x is not supported by your media.
  21. As Ken said the Guide forum is the best place to start rather than the forum posts (some of them may confuse you futher ) Which guide you use will depend on what you have in terms of files. As we cannot help with any part of the ripping process you will need to use Google for help on that
  22. Won't ImgBurn already work if you set the number of copies to 25 and select the Baxter as the destination drive ? Or is the problem that the Baxter doesn't know when to change the discs ?
  23. Ok first off please post a copy of the log from ImgBurn, that is all the information that appears in the bottom window under the main GUI. That will tell us a bit about the media and its supported write speeds - I am guessing that yours does not support 1x and probably has 4x as the lowest. As for closing, I think you can do this with ImgBurn open, select the Tools menu and it's one of the options there - you may need to close track before disc if that's available to you, sorry never had to do it manually myself and my memory of reading this in the forum is a little foggy.
  24. This happens on Windows Media Player 10 (??) to me, some CDs it shows the artwork and others it doesn't...... It's never really bothered me tho
  25. It was your elf and not you giving me the arse kirk !! But Happy Christmas to you too !!
