  1. I could understand your confusion yesterday when we looked at this DudeBoyz.... maybe the boss will have an opinion on this ?
  2. I know you don't want this answer but if you're not using Verbatim Data Life Plus DVD+R DL discs for your dual layer burns you are just setting yourself up for problems. I have tested a few of the other types of dye (in the drives and media forum on this site) as have others who have posted here and they really are very hit and miss. My recommendation would be to get the only DL media we recommend and see how you get on. Cheaper really is a bad option with DL burns
  3. I have never used diko so I wouldn't know how to confirm all the settings, it just sounds to me as tho the conversion didn't work properly. You can play it on the PC ok so it doesn't sound like an error with the .iso.........
  4. It's a shame that Ritek sold out like that...... as polo has said in other posts I have Ritek G04's that were among the first DVD-R's I ever burnt and they still play back glitch free today.....
  5. Ok - from that log it appears that you don't verify your burns, you can tick the little box in the program GUI to do that during a burn. However, I think it's more likely that the episode might be in a different format to the TV system your dvd player is set up for. Can I assume that you didn't record the TV episode yourself ? For instance if you live in the US your TV system is NTSC and most of your DVD players seem to only want to play NTSC format discs. Now if you obtained a TV episode from say England with our PAL system your standalone player will more than likely give you a message that it cannot play the disc whereas the PAL/NTSC thing does not affect your PC and therefore that will play it back ok. Obviously the reverse can apply if you're living in England/Europe etc but it seems that our DVD players are less fussy about PAL/NTSC.
  6. I have seen the speed stack craze here too mate...... luckily my kids aren't into it tho - I would prefer they took up curling !!
  7. Hi - welcome to the forum, firstly to really be able to eliminate the easy stuff we need to see the burn log from ImgBurn, the one that appears in the bottom window. I have incl a copy of one below for info.... This will tell us if there were any errors during the burn or verify. Actually do you verify the burns you do ? Secondly what image is it that you are burning ? For instance the fact that it plays on your PC but not on your standalone might indicate that maybe it's a region issue or NTSC/PAL conflict etc.... We need some more info from you before we can really help you.
  8. My PS2 hates CMC MAG discs Taiyo's and Verbs tho play fine
  9. Did it look ok when you played it back ?
  10. Yeah possibly - I heard Jack's dad made his bro run around with an apple on his head as well.........
  11. I seem to be missing all these at the mo - sorry corny ! Hope you had a great birthday !
  12. = Jack ! (In the orange top) = Daniel ! (In the orange top) Yes I am joking too !!
  13. I think db needs to check his medication again - all that cobblers about putting his fingers in some blokes holes sounds bad to me :& As for Marmite & Vegemite - I am with Shamus on this one, it's great !!
  14. I like the sound of DC Erase, not sure either my BenQ or NEC drives would support it but I can it being quite useful when dealing with "faulty" DVD-RW's.... Thanks for the link.
  15. Sorry db - I missed that part of your post ! Yeah they are both yeast/veggie extract spreads. I enjoyed Vegemite when I went to Oz and it has a slighly milder taste than Marmite which, as per the adverts recently "you either love it or hate it"
  16. Just to add another 2cents - I wouldn't buy those RitekF1 dye discs either.
  17. http://www.vegemite.com.au/ There you go db - it's quite nice actually altho I much prefer our Marmite !! http://www.ilovemarmite.com/
