    Fall back?

We changed here in England yesterday as well - bliss another hour in bed ! Assuming you remember to put the kids clocks back as well !!
  3. I agree with polo - if I were you I would chose the layer break at the begining/end of a song where it's least noticeable.
  4. How were you able to write to those discs at 2.4x when that speed isn't supported Ditto on the comments re the Dual layer media too
  5. Google is great eh kev ??
  6. You need better media as the boss said. Sorry to hear you bought 100 of them but what you will see is maybe some ok burns but a lot of grief inbetween. If I were you I would contact the retailer and tell them that your drive refuses to recognise them and ask to return them. If the retailer sells Taiyo Yuden or MCC dye Verbatims get those instead.
  7. Yeah try Firefox..... Sorry Spinner - I upgraded to IE7 at work on Friday and haven't seen this...
  8. Nah these are Guides donta http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/new/Default.asp
  9. The big 40 for our Shamus next then ???
  10. Hey it was a chortle for us all and no one thinks any worse of you so no harm done - half the stuff posted here is so don't sweat it !
  11. I added a second HDD to my Dell Desktop last year and also discovered that they don't provide a spare bay for an additional hard drive - tight bastards ! I looked around for a device to hold them both but the stuff I found was silly priced so in the end I made something myself, nothing flash - in fact I used zip ties (cable ties etc) to hold it in place and to allow some air to circulate round it !! It's been working fine now for almost a year !
  12. You know what db - sometimes your posts make me feel like I have inadvertently stumbled into a private session between you and your counsellor....
  13. It pisses me off especially as they didn't sell pirated stuff or modified PSP's etc. Sony create these markets by not releasing PSP or PS3 at the same time around the world. Consumers then choose to purchase a foreign model (understanding the issues etc) and Sony goes after the retailer ???
  14. From: http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3901 Tue Oct 24 2006 21:58:51 Hong Kong Time - Corporate Info FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - OUT OF BUSINESS NOTICE Hong Kong, October 24th of 2006 - Lik-Sang.com, the popular gaming retailer from Hong Kong, has today announced that it is forced to close down due to multiple legal actions brought against it by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Sony claimed that Lik-Sang infringed its trade marks, copyright and registered design rights by selling Sony PSP consoles from Asia to European customers, and have recently obtained a judgment in the High Court of London (England) rendering Lik-Sang's sales of PSP consoles unlawful. As of today, Lik-Sang.com will not be in the position to accept any new orders and will cancel and refund all existing orders that have already been placed. Furthermore, Lik-Sang is working closely with banks and PayPal to refund any store credits held by the company, and the customer support department is taking care of any open transactions such as pending RMAs or repairs and shipping related matters. The staff of Lik-Sang will make sure that nobody will get hurt in the crossfire of this ordeal. A Sony spokesperson declined to comment directly on the lawsuit against Lik-Sang, but recently went on to tell Gamesindustry.biz that "ultimately, we're trying to protect consumers from being sold hardware that does not conform to strict EU or UK consumer safety standards, due to voltage supply differences et cetera; is not - in PS3's case - backwards compatible with either PS1 or PS2 software; will not play European Blu-Ray movies or DVDs; and will not be covered by warranty". Lik Sang strongly disagrees with Sony's opinion that their customers need this kind of protection and pointed out that PSP consoles shipped from Lik-Sang contained genuine Sony 100V-240V AC Adapters that carry CE and other safety marks and are compatible world wide. All PSP consoles were in conformity with all EU and UK consumer safety regulations. Furthermore, Sony have failed to disclose to the London High Court that not only the world wide gaming community in more than 100 countries relied on Lik-Sang for their gaming needs, but also Sony Europe's very own top directors repeatedly got their Sony PSP hard or software imports in nicely packed Lik-Sang parcels with free Lik-Sang Mugs or Lik-Sang Badge Holders, starting just two days after Japan's official release, as early as 14th of December 2004 (more than nine months earlier than the legal action). The list of PSP related Sony Europe orders reads like the who's who of the videogames industry, and includes Ray Maguire (Managing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Alan Duncan (UK Marketing Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Chris Sorrell (Creative Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Ltd), Rob Parkin (Development Director, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited), just to name a few. "Today is Sony Europe victory about PSP, tomorrow is Sony Europe?s ongoing pressure about PlayStation 3. With this precedent set, next week could already be the stage for complaints from Sony America about the same thing, or from other console manufacturers about other consoles to other regions, or even from any publisher about any specific software title to any country they don?t see fit. It?s the beginning of the end... of the World as we know it", stated Pascal Clarysse, formerly known as the Marketing Manager of Lik-Sang.com. "Blame it on Sony. That's the latest dark spot in their shameful track record as gaming industry leader. The Empire finally 'won', few dominating retailers from the UK probably will rejoice the news, but everybody else in the gaming world lost something today." I used this Company several times to get console stuff and am disappointed that Sony's pursuit of them has brought about their demise.
  15. Good to know you worked out what was causing the problem Xeron !
  16. I thought LUK! was referring to the ZA block that we were discussing Question - what is the "physical media" you refer to above ? I am guessing you are talking about some form of ISO read ?
  17. It's in the ZA settings, you will have to trawl through each one and each tab until you find it as I am at work and can't be more specific. If you uncheck the option to block Animation on ads etc it will allow your smilies to work on forums and by the sound of it also the tooltips !
  18. Vegemite and Marmite are a lot less addictive than alcohol guys !!
  19. Thanks for letting us know
  20. I use Zonealarm too and I see the tooltips, it must be something else....
  21. I agree with Corny that those discs are very hit and miss, in my burns they were definitely stuggling past the mid way point of the disc and your post seems to confirm this as well.
  22. I think the bosses point is that this suggestion is only really beneficial to you DudeBoyz. In the past I have seen people make suggestions that because they had popular support were implemented into ImgBurn or Decrypter before it..... I can assure you that Lightning_UK! is very open to suggestions but we need to remember that when it's a "no" it's for a good reason.... Nice attempted bribe tho !!
  23. Cobblers - Bollocks !! As in "you're talking cobblers again db" means "you're talking bollocks again db" !!
  24. Auto self destruct - your PC will now select a random time scale to implode and destroy itself, your data and your home db !!! Run !!!
  25. eh what ???
