  1. Hi and welcome to the forum, Jimbo! I guess you are burning from the inside of DVDFab? The same issue if you use one DVD reader/burner as source and the other DVD reader/burner as the burning target? If you are burning the files directly with ImgBurn, what happens if you close down DVDFab first?
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, NULL! Looks like there is no support for that media code in the firmware. Perhaps try with some other brand of discs. If it's a HP computer there is a later firmware. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...p;product=93197
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, Korkofilaki! That media code (Disc ID: MBI 01RG40) is not supported by the firmware for the burner. Try with another brand/media code such as Verbatims.
  4. Look in the settings. The tab 'Events'.
  5. Perhaps some tiny dust pieces on the laser beam head.
  6. I've had DVD burners that crapped out of burning a DVD and still managed to burn CDs without any issues.
  7. Try to get it replaced. It's not the file, ImgBurn only sees it as a lot of 1 and 0 pieces.
  8. If it worked before it might be worth a try with a cleaning disc.
  9. 2.4x burning speed is impossible to get. The lowest you can get is 4x. Slower is not always the best. It depends on the combination of media and burner.
  10. I'm not a gamer so I have no clue how vital it is that the burned DVD is book typed to a DVD-ROM. I guess other members can fill in.
  11. Did it verify ok? The last part is either missing or not.
  12. Depends on the burner. A good burner should have no issues at 8x or 12x as some burners manages to burn them at.
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, jethockeykid! If you could burn before with that media code - try to clean the laser head with a cleaning disc. The only supported write speed with that combination of media/burner/firmware is 4x.
  14. Three options: 1. Change media 2. Change burner 3. Clean the laser head with a cleaning disc
  15. Why is it important that it burn at 2.4x? Write speed and optimal quality speed is not the same thing.
  16. The 4x write speed could be worth a try. Other than that, as you have tried all the tricks in the book, only one remains, get a new burner.
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, Myuu! You got a write error. The burner couldn't write to your burner and made a write error.
  18. Perhaps an Optiarc 7240. $27.99 http://www.meritline.com/sony-optiarc-7240...---p-34442.aspx
