  1. Hi and welcome to the forum, Bigslp! Any log from the 2.5.0.0 version you can post that shows some info about your system? You'll find them here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  2. Hi and welcome to the forum, pdsnickles! An iso file is like a zip file. You can split the ISO to see/extract the includes files with a program such as www.7-zip.org . If the ISO is 7.95GB it can't fit on a single layer disc. You should be able to find the log of that "failed" single layer disc here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs My feeling is that you managed to add the .mds file in the build mode and just burned that file. If that is true - your player gives you the right "error" message.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, ieba2468! Sure your burner can burn DL media? Check here: Write Mode Main Menu -> Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities
  4. How do you know it was a good burn when you don't use the verify option?
  5. Curious. Could you post a log from that successful burn?
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, squintys! Is that an "ordinary" hard disk in the same computer your burn or some "network" attached?
  7. There is a later firmware. I doubt it will help. A rather old burner for those "modern" media codes. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-4163B/files.html
  8. It's already there. Settings -> tab General -> Interfering Programs It's a W (Warning message).
  9. Select Write mode in the main menu. Select the DVD writer you have then Main Menu -> Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities Is 'DVD +R DL' checkmarked? If Yes -> It can burn DL media and if No -> Get a new burner
  10. @ Henri 4x also gave me a crappy burn = verify errors with that RITEK-S04-66 media code. 6x and 8x works very nicely. The best result was made at 6x write speed.
  11. In your first post you used 4x write speed. In the last post you used the same speed. You main problem is that the burn is so crappy that it can't be read back. Can't you mount the burner in a true Windows computer and flash it with the firmware mmalves linked to?
  12. If will only burn those 8x rated ones at 8x as max. A note if you want to book type single layer +R media with this burner - you need to install a firmware that supports it. The original ones don't do it by default. Optiarc DVD RW AD-7240S 1.02 (SCSI) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Empty Erasable: No Free Sectors: 4
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, Almonds! You should see it in the log if the program changes any names if you have this setting active - 'Log Non Compliant File/Folder Names' in the Build tab in the Settings. Like this example: W 00:00:00 ISO9660 File: 'C:\A very long file name.txt' -> 'A_VERY_L.TXT' W 00:00:00 ISO9660 File: 'C:\Also a very long file name.txt' -> 'ALSO_A_V.TXT' W 00:00:00 ISO9660 File: 'C:\Yet another long file name.txt' -> 'YET_ANOT.TXT'
  14. Optimal Writing Speed: Main Menu -> Drive -> Change Advanced Settings This one is only valid for 116/216 and later models. A pure joke function if you ask me. Pioneers should book type +R DL media by default. For +R media you need to fix the firmware with MediaCodeSpeedEdit.
  15. I would use the 6x write speed with that combo of media/burner.
  16. A -R disc should be read by any "modern" DVD player as long as you have the files in DVD files format. (.bup/.vob/.ifo) ISO files is just a container (like a zip file) with the files inside it. Shouldn't matter if you burn it from an ISO or the converted files.
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, spa! Only +R/+RW media can be book typed to DVD-ROM - so this disc is still If you want to convert the .avi/.wmv files to be played on a regular DVD player - yes, you need another program for that converting before you can burn the new files with ImgBurn.
  18. The fact that you have a .txt file indicates that you used the first program wrongly. Use Google to find out how to use that first program, as we in this forum can't discuss ripping programs.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum, mrepcrhdh! The VIDEO_TS.IFO must exist if you are going to play the burned disc on a DVD player. That's why you get the "error" about it in ImgBurn.
  20. Checked that the burner is detected/set up right in winecfg?
  21. No. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/747496
  22. Can you see the burner in Windows Explorer? Can you see the burner in Windows Device Manager and if so - no ! sign beside it? Tried to uninstall the burner in Windows Device Manager?
  23. Hi and welcome to the forum, philcrumpler! Can you see anything in the log window? If so - post that.
