  1. The easiest thing you could try is to move the cable to another SATA connector on the motherboard.
  2. Can you post a burn log from ImgBurn - it might show something that explains why it can't be played. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, bump! No. You should be able to use another program, depending on what is in this .iso files.
  4. Could it be that you have it to overwrite the old log in the settings?
  5. Not knowing the brand of your mother board - I found some others that had the same string issue as you. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f86/optiarc-ad-7201s-256203/ It might be that you have the SATA burner attached to the JMicron controller. In the manual for my Asus mother board it states to avoid connecting cdrom devices to those channels/connections.
  6. If you open up the saved log file can you in that one - find a log of a write? You should find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  7. I 'stole' that image from the net. But that 'funny' program has a demo version you can install. http://www.flexbeta.net/one/neroburns.jpg
  8. Only default settings used. Sure you didn't add them in the Build Mode?
  9. I added some .mp3 files in the Create CD-Cue file module and burned them to a CD. This is on the CD after the burning.
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum, dare2winitall! Shouldn't be needed. Try this guide. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555

  12. Verify will allow you to know that what was burned also was burned without any errors. More or less - it will re read your burned disc and compare it with the original source. So it's a good idea to have it enabled.
  13. Hi and welcome to the forum, pirate1! There is a later firmware to install for that writer - SB02. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S203N/files.html 8x write speed might work better. Is it a Nvidia based motherboard?
  14. Most likely it's your writer that doesn't like the brand of media. Could you post the full log? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  15. Normally it indicates a hardware failure.
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, shen293! Your write error happens very late in the burn and the speed is not very fast. Could be that you need to enable DMA. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=967
  17. Old logs can be found here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs When you write/save an image file to a hard disk - there is no finalizing part (closing of the disc). See it as a pure Windows copy from one part of the hard disk to another part of the hard disk - the only difference is that it's saved in a container (iso file).

    Help

Hi and welcome to the forum, wolffey! That is the log from the reading - not the burning part. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum, ButchN! Could be several issues that prevents the writing to go above 2.4x. Could you post a burning log from one of those slow burns? You'll find it here - Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum, DoktorD1313! If you open up the burned disc in Windows Explorer - can you then see this strucure - with two folders and a lot of files in the VIDEO_TS folder?
  21. You could have downloaded it for free here: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download We should also take the time to post the scanning results of all that media we test. It's sad it's not posted in the forum.
  22. Only one file - then it's not a DVD compliant disc. Try to convert it to DVD format by reading post #3.
