  1. Hi and welcome to the forum, Thugg1shace323! Try to use the program mentioned in the FAQ - to see what program that is that locks your device. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=975
  2. I had the same issue before and I wrote to Microsoft and they changed the button in Vista. Thanks Bill! The XP version The Vista version
  3. And we sure are lucky that he isn't turning into this guy randomly...
  4. Tried to delete the device/writer in the Windows device manager and let Windows reinstall it? Latest chipset drivers installed?
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, five.7! Any reason for using the old version? There is a section in the FAQ regarding this issue. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=&...dpost&p=972
  6. I bought one once and it certainly looked as a home made one. A little piece of clothing on the surface and some pure alcohol shipped with this disc. There was also a little program shipped that 'played' the disc during this cleaning. Another option is to take it apart and clean the laser head that way.
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, davedarkstar! No the disc is already closed in the write stage, the verify stage compares your burned disc bit by bit with the original source. If it passes this test - it can be read. See it as a quality check.
  8. This is the latest firmware. http://www.liteonit.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/ODD/S...52R$0G.zip No disc in the device Tray closed Restart the computer after the flash
  9. I could only wish for pure html scripting, but it's disabled by default in the forum software - so I've only used common bbcode in the guide. My main reason for not hosting the pictures at the ImgBurn server, was to save the author from having to spend bucks on additional bandwidth. The total picture size in this guide is 3.1 MB. Multiply that with 20.000 downloads per month. In Sweden we don't have regulations on how much bandwidth you can use each month. In the UK you need to pay depending on how much bandwidth you use each month. In Sweden we have a fixed price and you can use as much bandwidth as you wish. At least in theory... As some pictures are used several times in the guide it would also mean more traffic if I've added the pictures in the guide thread, than if the pictures were saved as a general url name on a server. The other ip adress is located in Belgium and is hosted there as a smiley I found on the Internet. I will change the url for that smiley to use my server instead. Edit: Links changed.
  10. The ISO file is just a container for the .ifo, .bup and .vob files. Break down the ISO file with www.7-zip.org and you will see them.
  11. Do you have more than one hard disk installed?
  12. Sounds as it's much easier to just buy a new player to me.
  13. This freeware should work according to one forum post.
  14. Never done it myself - but here is one guide. There are plenty of other guides if you use Google. http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Con..._DVD_page1.html
  15. Start this program C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurnPreview.exe Drag and drop a VOB file from the burned disc onto the Previews window. Hit the 'Play' button and check mark the option 'Info' - that should tell you what format it is in.
  16. If you open up the burned disc - is there a VIDEO_TS folder and inside that folder a VIDEO_TS.IFO file?
  17. To me it looks as it's not just the package that is new. The first one seems only be able to write at max 6x, while the new ones can write up to 8x.
  18. Looks as the burner failed to identify the media. There is a later firmware version, ver 1.05. (If it's not an OEM writer). http://se.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp
  19. If you don't trust Daemon Tools - there is also CloneDrive for free.
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum, janger! I've had it enabled during burnings and I know a lot of other members here use it frequently. What version was you using of Daemon Tools?
  21. Perhaps a disc lens cleaning could be worth a try.
  22. Try to add it to the Advanced OEM list as shown in this guide section 4.2.12.2 Advanced
  23. Auto should work fine. You have also uninstalled the primary and secondary ide in device manager and then done a reboot?
