  1. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/kbtip.mspx Might be that just a few sectors are bad and they are occupied by just one of your downloaded files.
  2. Looks as you use the computer/source hard disk while you burn. Try not to do that. Try a new burn and don't abort the burn. The program is just waiting for the hard disk to be ready to feed the burner with data. The burn proof feature of the burner will continue to burn the disc even if it has to wait for the hard disk.
  3. Also if you check in the old logs? http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632
  4. The problem is that the burn is crappy, and the burner can't read what it just burned. Could try a lower speed than the 6x that failed for you. Better media quality like Verbatim might help.
  5. Perhaps better to tell us your issue with the current version.
  6. Can you post the log of that burn?
  7. I never buy media from on line stores that doesn't list the media codes on the media they sell. The low priced Verbatims sounds as the ones you got.
  8. Perhaps just the image that tricks me. But it looks as there are two spaces after DVDR.
  9. Yes an external USB burner (full height one) would be a better option to your current SlimLine drive.
  10. Why did you abort the burn? If you burn the disc + verify you should see if the burner book types DL+ media by itself. Edit: This guy had the same issue and the burner do not book type on its own. But on the other hand it seems he managed to fix it in the advanced settings. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12603 Edit 2: There is an example in this guide in section 4.2.12.9 Advanced how to set it. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6392
  11. The problem is you harddisk (?) named E: that has an error that makes it impossible to read the above file from and compare it with the same file on the burned disc. You should run a disk scan to see what's the issue with that hard disk. It might be dying for you.
  12. You need to be in Write mode.
  13. Perhaps a cleaning disc could help. If it's only the first disc that went crappy, it might have been something wrong with the disc. You are using the best media on the market, so it might be time to replace the burner. I would go for an external full heigh one. SlimLines are not very good at DL burning.
  14. Have you managed to burn Verbatim DL media with that new burner?
  15. Try the other two speeds also. Try with a cleaning disc (if you managed to burn those discs with that media code before). As you have tried with other brands also, it might be time to get a new burner that is better at burning DL media. An external full height burner is usually better to burn those discs. SlimLines are a bit of a hit and miss.
  16. Never seen that it updates automatically. http://download.imgburn.com/SetupImgBurn_2.5.4.0.exe
  17. If you have the book type version flashed, you shouldn't need to deal with the "NEC inside booktype setting" and you should also have the setting "Auto Change Book Type" that is normally on by default.

  19. For a DL disc, after the layer break setting. But somehow you managed to abort it during that phase.
  20. In the first part you abort the burn and then you try to use the "used" disc again.
  21. Can you post the first part of that log also?
  22. Not according to the DVD Video specifications. Only one "structure" is allowed. What you can do is to use reauthor mode in DVD Shrink and make a compilation of the two original sources titles. The drawback is that you loose the menus.
  23. That model should be a rebadged Lite-On iHAS424. The Lite-On model costs less.
  24. In how good condition is that RW disc? If it's been used heavily before there might be fingerprints/dust on the surface that makes the verify go south. Have you tried with another type of disc/another disc?
  25. Post a log, it would tell us more. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14632
