  1. Perhaps then the source file is really corrupted.
  2. There is this free program, but I'm not sure if it can solve your issue. https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer It's still in alpha stage. According to this thread the extension should be possible to just change to iso and then it might work to mount it. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/223617
  3. It's not possible with ImgBurn. Is it a bootable ISO or? If it's just a regular ISO with some files in it, you can first mount the ISO with a program such as Virtual Clone Drive ( http://www.slysoft.com ) and the just copy the files in Windows Explorer. There are other programs on the net that can write an bootable ISOs to an USB stick.
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_mode My guess is that it means that it can play burned discs (video-mode DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW). So yes burning a DVD Movie is possible in ImgBurn. If your source contains .bup/.ifo/.vob files - ImgBurn will change the appropriate settings for you.

    Failure

Same issue if you use another disc? Scratches/dust/fingerprints on the surface?
  6. It's based on CD time. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=2122
  7. I highly doubt that Sony is as high quality as genuine Verbatims AZO discs.
  8. Perhaps add SP2 for Vista and install the drivers for the USB/mother board chipset.
  9. If it's Nvidia based you should be able to just click on the button Motherboard drivers and the script should find the right one. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk

    Video Editing

Windows Live Movie Maker is one.
  11. The link works here. 2.4x is not a supported write speed. Only these:
  12. Might be worth a try to enable OPC.
  13. Ritek based media and older Lite-Ons can be tricky. There is a later firmware version. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/DH-16A1L/files.html Try also the other available speeds. (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) You have already tried the 4x in the posted log.
  14. Insert the empty disc in the drive and start ImgBurn in write mode. In the right window panel you will see the supported write speeds for that media. Normally 1x write speed is not supported in modern drives. Not sure why you want to burn so slow. 1x is around 1 hour in burning time.
  15. Sounds as you need to convert the files to DVD Movie format first in order to play it on a regular stand alone player. This program might fix it. http://www.dvdflick.net/
  16. If 4x also errors out, get a new drive.
  17. Sounds as your burner doesn't like the media code on those discs. Have you tried the other speeds - 4x, 6x?

    Help with burners

You can look at a test with the Pioneer here: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12991 The Optiarc AD-7240S is a nice burner.

    Help with burners

No idea what model the Samsung is. I have the IDE version of the Pioneer and it's a joke. Funny that the web shop can't list the actual model # of the drives they sell.
  20. When you burn the iso it's unpacked and your final disc will have the files as on a normal DVD Movie disc.
  21. Split the ISO file with 7-zip and then add the files and make a new compilation. A 100% free solution...
  22. Perhaps it came preinstalled with the right drivers. When you installed Win 7 you used the default Microsofts. Why not first try the suggested drivers?
  23. Have you tried with another image and 2.4x speed?
