  1. Verify is nice if you want to know if the burn was good or nor. OEM is when the drive is sold under another name or the support is done by somebody else like Dell, HP.
  2. Was it the 1.77 version you tried to flash it with? Looking at the firmware you posted in the first log, it could be an OEM drive. You have also tried both the supported write speeds?
  3. I'd like to but when this one was burned, like all of them, I did not know it would have been necessary for further use. Sorry. I think he wants you to use ImgBurn in read mode on one of those burned discs and then post that log.
  4. Looks to me as the burned disc was not 100% error free (bad burn) and now when you try to read it some parts (sectors) of the disc can't be read.
  5. None of the programs you mention can be used to backup protected games. Due to the laws of the location of the forum, we can't discuss decrypting issues here.
  6. You could try to install the latest firmware version 1.11 http://www.firmwarehq.com/Aopen/DUW1608%252FARR/files.html But I doubt it will help. Verbatims also seems out of luck based on this thread with the latest firmware installed. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=12605 My feeling is that the burner (released 2004) is simply to old to deal with DL media. I would go for a nice new burner.
  7. Most times it's related to bad support for the media code by the drive. Post a log as it will give some more clues on what can be done to fix it.
  8. Curios. While it's waiting for the graph data thread to be created, does your computer hang or can you use it during those three minutes?
  9. In a DVD Movie compliant disc you can only have one VIDEO_TS folder. If you have two (or more) you need to either create a new main menu page to select the desired sub move you want to play. This is rather time consuming and might also be over the limit of a normal user. The other option is to simple create a new DVD with the help of a program such as DVD Shrink and import the various Titlesets and do a new compilation. The drawback here is that if you have menues they are gone. So the question is how your current files are structured. Are there just plain movie files or are there menues involved? Either way, ImgBurn is a burning tool and can't fix your DVD authoring issue.
  10. Aha. It's this:
  11. Beats me how it's activated. Can't see any extra rows in the log. Unless it shows up in the program info area. The path you save it to in the settings - does it exist? I know some other programs can hang for some minutes if the path is not existing any longer.
  12. When you did this, did it also take a very long time for the file to be written to the hard disk?
  13. Looks like it's some type of copy protection and ImgBurn can't deal with that.
  14. It's your hard disk. ImgBurn can't read that file. I suggest you run chkdsk on that hard disk.
  15. I would go for Verbatims instead of the Sonys. If Verbatims also fails, get an external nice writer.
  16. I would enable this setting. I have the same model in the SATA version and all available speeds should work with the 8x rated version of the Verbatim DL discs. I think you have the 2.4x rated ones and I've never used those. 4x is a speed I would try with.
  17. That function is pretty much a joke and don't feel sorry for not having it.
  18. The burn log you posted. It seems that the 12 files were not located inside the AUDIO_TS folder. Note. The above is just an example and in your case the VIDEO_TS folder is empty. Might be on thine ice here, but I think this is just a note in the log and not something to care to much about. Just makes sure the right file systems is selected ISO + UDF 1.02 and you have the files inside the folder.
  19. Might be that your player doesn't support UDF ver 2.50 (Blu-ray). I would go for ver 1.02 that is compliant with regular DVD Movie stand alone players.
  20. Any chance you can post a burning log from one of those tricky burns? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  21. The author hinted in another thread that multi session support is coming.
  22. Dust on the laser bean perhaps.
  23. Might be that the book type function is already performed. Post a log of a burn + verify.
  24. Try to install the latest firmware version SB02. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S222A/files.html Might be that the RW disc is scratched/fingerprinted.
  25. The brand name. Like Dell, IBM, Olivetti, Apple and Huskvarna.
