  1. You moved your burner over into your friends computer? Doesn't look like an image file done by ImgBurn. Perhaps easier to get the meatballs from IKEA.
  2. Instead of paying to the doctor, use the money on some better discs.
  3. Any chance you can post a log from one of those burns? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  4. Yes. When you burn by picking the .dvd file you should see these two rows that will show up when you burn with a Lite-On. That means that you will end up with a DVD-ROM book typed disc. 5. If you decide to burn a disc and verify it and then look in the log, you know that it worked if you see a row like this one and the book type is set to DVD-ROM. 6. When you burn a +R disc it will be book typed as DVD-ROM (if everything works as it should) If it has been burned and not book typed to DVD-ROM there is no way you can read it as a DVD-ROM. I'm not sure what you are trying to do. Read the disc in ImgBurn or some other device?
  7. If it's a Lite-On and you are going to burn +R DL media, ImgBurn will do the book type for you. Burn one and post the log. Don't forget to Verify it so we can see if the book type worked as it should.
  8. The error is an ordinary "can't read the sector" issue. Usually caused by a bad burn.
  9. Could be that you already have the latest firmware installed. -R media can't be book typed. When +R media is book typed the book type is changed to DVD-ROM.
  10. Cynthia

    Imgburn rip off

Perhaps if people stopped buying software without demo versions.
  11. By default ImgBurn book type +R media on Lite-On drives. So you shouldn't have to do anything. The latest firmware is here. Not sure it's this one you are searching for. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/DH-16A6S/files.html Post a log from a +R burn so we can see if the book type function works as it should.
  12. Depends on how many. Mostly when you have a bad write - you have a lot of sectors in a row that can't be read. You will notice pixelations if there are more than a few in a row.
  13. I think that media code is not very well supported in your drive. You could check one of those discs that burned ok how well it was if you scan it in DVD InfoPro. I think you will see a less good quality burn result with such a scan.
  14. Perhaps your drive only supports +R/+RW media. What model of drive do you have?
  15. Yes. Just copy the .ifo with the same name to a new .bup file. I think it's also easier just to copy the files from the dvd to your hard disk by just using Windows Explorer. That way you get away with the hazzle of splitting/mounting the iso when you perform the replace task. But from the posted logs - it looks like it's having issues with the video files also.
  16. The suggestion in post #22 seems to be your only option. I couldn't find any later/different firmware for that drive. Option 2 if the above doesn't work is to get a nice external drive. Sometimes it works if you select another of the supported write speeds. Might also be that the quality of those cd's are not the best. (Speeds: 8x, 12x, 16x, 24x)
  17. Looks like the burned discs were not good burns and now when you try to read them, some parts of the disc can't be read.
  18. Was it a Toshiba computer? http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
  19. There are many firmwares that works on several drives in the same model series. This one seems to be one of those.
  20. No. Firmware is not listed there. If the firmware should be for the wrong drive, the installer (from what I've seen with my drives) tell you that.
  21. You have this and the update is for that drive. Just make sure that you have no disc in the drive and all other programs closed down while you flash it.
  22. 8x is the lowest possible.
  23. Over burning that amount of extra size is not going to work. Load the files from DVD Flick in a program like DVD Shrink and reduce the size to fit a single layer disc. Then you can burn the resized files in ImgBurn.
  24. http://www.greenlightoffice.com/office/stationery/819206114-maxell-cd-340-cd-lens-cleaner.html
  25. The only speeds that are supported are these: Tried with a cleaning disc?
