  4. I am attempting to duplicate a media burn test with discovery mode and imgburn and dvdinfo, I have found an anomaly, after three scans I keep getting an invisible peak in PIF at the very edge of the disk, transfer test and scan with cdspeed do not confirm. Has anyone else ever experienced such behavior.
  5. you are graphing both read errors and burn errors, the goal is to set a slow enough scan speed to minimize the read errors, not an exact science at all, just an attempt at it repeat the pioneer scan at a much slower speed and see if you obtain different results

    Best scan ever

jitter went all to hell on the T02 burn, the same place PIE's went off the chart, I suspect extraterrestrial influence or circles in the corn field
  8. awfully hard getting the four windows tiled right tho
  9. chewy

    Best scan ever

what's the source for the T02's brand name?

  11. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2034 too many models were called 640c I would crossflash to benq myself so I could scan
  12. also at maximum read speed in a scan are you graphing burn errors or read errors?

    Old media?

and/or hardware issues like old worn out burners, trying to rebuild my first nec 3520 after getting it back from my son. damn thing has 270 PIF clumps at 4.2 gigs
  14. customized start menu(rightclicktaskbar) ADVANCED
  15. something's obviously wrong, where's the 8x burn speed? firmware should have been the first order of business

    Old media?

Construction of New Factory Wing in That?s Fukushima Co., Ltd. to Increase Monthly Production Capacity of DVD-R & DVD+R Media Taiyo Yuden is building a new factory wing at That?s Fukushima Co., Ltd., a subsidiary involved in the production of recordable media (due to commence operations in October 2004). With the new wing, we will double the monthly production capacity of DVD-R and DVD+R media to 40 million disks by the end of this term. We will also improve the productivity of CD-R and increase monthly production to 70 million disks, partly by replacing the existing equipment with state-of-the-art models. Taiyo Yuden?s optical media are de facto standards and second to none in terms of quality, and we will provide customers with them based on greater supply capabilities. value packaging and marketing maybe but I have as yet to see any quality difference
  17. Assuming the data on the archival dvd's is important, playability is not my prime concern. Will it rip back to the hard drive in most readers at full speed? Or in my case, copy on the fly at 8x? This standard is very practical and scanning is a valuable tool. A hypothetical example, idiot brother in law or step son comes for extended visit wanting to access your database.
  18. I wonder what scanning at 4x or 8x would yield? The bad burn was possibly caused by multitasking or possibly wasn't bad, just the verify failed for the same reason?
  19. bad media spread over the whole disk and pie/f's increasing where the 14-16x speeds would hit.
  20. sure looked like a 12 or 16x burn, sorry, my memorex G05's were pretty inconsistent, most scanned 0 after a year or two, one or two still scan low 90's. http://www.shop4tech.com/user.htm?go=view_...&cata=1&s_cata= CS10 coupon code qs 99 disks
  21. reburn at 8x and scan, memorex wouldn't spec the best quality, might even be from a different plant
  22. will this be on the fly or a seperate operation?
