  1. you will have to make sure that either the drive auto book types it to dvd-rom or manually set it for the 360 to recognize the disc.

'Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173A 1-01' NEC and Sony venture so use nec tab in imgburn if your drive is listed in there use the eeprom setting for dl+ if you can and change to dvd-rom

  2. Turns out the CPU blew somehow.

Gonna look on ebay for xp2800 @333mhz

Would prefer a new one if cheap enough and could find one.

  3. Forgot that i asked grain something, not heard from him though.

Will catch up with him at some point I'm sure.

Shit I hate it when you're down to your last 12 PC's

I have now gotta get some SATA enclosures, wish i had of remembered that last night when i went shopping at svp, could have saved myself a fiver postage

  4. Well It seems I made the Mistake of buying the USB2 version, I found the firmware I was looking for on one of my computers, the bad news the firmware I have is for PL-3507 and I know I used it to upgrade 2 enclosures a while ago.

Which means I bought the combo enclosures first time round 2 of them, since then I shafted myself by buying the USB2 versions only, as they have a chipset in which benq drive's hate, I/O errors 0.1X iso reading(can be 7.8x then drops) just normal data iso reading, Dvdinfo pro scanning hangs waiting for drive etc then continues scanning.

Off back to SVP for the combo enclosures now : :chair:

And one of my older computers went off tonight, think board has had it, a7v8x, maybe cpu. twat. Only got 12 left now.

  5. go into imgburn settings and press defaults, if that does not put I/O back to SPTI then do this yourself, you must have admin privileges to use SPTI though.

Failing that go into program files and open the ahead folder and search for wnaspi32.dll then copy it to the imgburn folder, you could then choose that I/O in imgburn, if it says not found then copy wnaspi32.dll to system 32 folder

  6. try some different cdrw if you can.

does it burn OK if you just use a normal CDR

go in to imgburn settings and press defaults and try again with your cdrw, seems like your writer does not like the type of cdrw you got though

  7. dont suppose anyone has a link to troubleshooting such an issue? i thought i had done everything right..i installed force aspi..i uninstalled the via ide controller

Why you using this force aspi and why uninstall via ide controller ?

Also i would scan the hard drive your storing your 360 iso files for errors using built in windows error checking tool, just the top box though ( auto fix file system errors)

  8. i give up with the first pack of 20 us ones, as straight after burned a us one with 1650 with bcic firmware and down to 78% quality , will just burn them with my liteon 1635s and be done with it not even going to bother scanning them anymore, may have better luck with the remaining unopened us verbs, whatever. got plenty of UK verbs now anyways, the us ones i have well first pack look substandard compared to UK ones, build quality wise like the glue in middle ring is smeared etc, UK ones are crystal clear and look better quality.

Out of my control they are what they are, like i said remaining 40 maybe better.

The scan has finished now and quality rating went down further to 73% burnt on 1650 BCIC and scanned on same drive.

LOL, it will still work so i can live with it.
