Hi there,
I am being offered a Panasonic UJA-90 internal optical drive for 80 bucks..............coz Matshita UJ 846S is DEAD...............can't find it reviews on the net.....may be I'm typing the wrong model.....but they say it's Panasonics one of the newer slim slot multi drive..........should I go for it?
Secondly what excatly does the following mean?
What's the interface?
The native interface for a slimline drive is a xx pin d-sub that carries signal and power.
I have an adapter that breaks out the d-sub to standatd PATA signal and 4 pin power.
If it's a desktop and not a laptop then the front panel issue is probably moot.
Thanks!
Either PATA or SATA so your replacement needs to match that of which your laptop uses eg the current writers interface ide/parallel -pata serial / sata

With a disc in the writer switch to write mode browse for your .dvd or with a blank disc in writer from right click .dvd file and choose burn with ImgBurn.
Post log, or copy the info from right hand side pane with blank disc in writer in write mode and past/post in here

I was just browsing this forum for the same problem.
Burning fantastic, but sound is poor. I have to adjust my DVD-player/TV volume from a normal 23 to about 55 to hear any sound.
I also use high quality original blank DVD's. Burning is done on 3 different computers with each 2 (new) DVD burners.
Just to check what is wrong, I have used a different program to burn a couple of DVD's. The problem
is gone. I got sound with an equal volume to that of my DVD-player/TV volume.
Am I missing something in the answer of Lightning?
Burning WHAT ?... DVD's ( MPEG2 ) ac3 5.1/2.1 or downmixed to stereo on your playing equpiment or AVI DIVX XVID MP4 ..... A burning program has no control on sound (VOLUME) only your DVD PLAYER /TV /AMP.....

is it possible to run any other programs, or even possible play a game while write an iso?
Depends on your system (CPU / storage etc) but not really advisable no matter what system specs are.

As far as I know, they always did
Windows XP and newer have a built-in ZIP extract feature (a.k.a zipfldr.dll) but it seems most people disable it or use a program that takes over.
did both they didnt find anything. what do I do nowIt can be too slow @ odd times
I always go 7zip route now the odd time I still use Winrar

Should have gone to Specsavers

I remember reading about this when it first started to appear.... it's a 2000 issue with 4096 encrypted files being max us law would allow... seems like this code has been left in xp vista etc and is being manipulated by rootkit/malware/spyware/virus.
I presumed MBAM had been updated now to remove this as I heard someone mention this. Either way it is def not a normal situation where devices should be removed and advice ignored.
-
Ok then....
But since it worked for me i thought it could work for him too...
I mean trying it takes a second and wont harm his system at all...
Like me, he maybe doesn't have a virus?
You ran MBAM yet ?

This is imgburn.com , not copythatgame.com.
copythatgame is a scam and you got done.
They're nothing to do with us so you'll need to talk to them if you want a refund.
Hmmm but it linked to IMGburn and downloaded the software!!!
So the download came from one of the 8 download sites linked to ImgBurn and was called ImgBurn.exe and not 24567890000.exe or whatever they changed name to ?

Norton was asleep. Kick it into touch and find something else like avg or some seem to like avast. I prefer avg though but starting to go off it.

So can you tell me how anyone is going to be able to help you, if you provide absolutely no info at all. LOL come on the log has other info or you will at least have to provide the info by typing. Which dvd writer it is ? on what controller ? etc etc
also try and include the log where you have the verbatim media in tray

post a log

Disc's are speaking now ?

Thanks,
It seems that the firmware that I already have is the best one for my drive TSST Corp TS-H652M.
I have been successfully burning using various media. Most recently have had a long run of success with Maxell, and all of a sudden I can't burn anything, just get the Power Calibration Area Error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the hardware's driver, but I just can't get ImgBurn to work anymore.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Lol
You're so lucky the flasher did not have a no check option in force.
When you said
I have tried upgrading to SH-S182D firmware, but don't know how to do it. I have the .bin file but what do I do with it? Clean suggestions much appreciatedI assumed you owned and were using that drive.. It might have ended so very differently with you breaking your drive.
Which I would have felt a little guilty about though tbh it would have been your responsibility
So next time to save any confusion and embarrassment please post your own log and in your own thread about your particular problem.

You have already been told the answer.
You have DMA issues follow the advice in the link I posted http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...7entry967 It takes you straight to the relevant bit
After you get that sorted, right click on the drive description in ImgBurn and choose check for firmware update and download SB07 and update your drives firmware. Remove any disc in tray then close before starting update.

double click ex follow instructions, or start ImgBurn and right click the description of your drive and choose check for firmware updates and download that way.. They both run the same. Take out any disc in tray and close tray and do not stop unless told to do so.

The lens are very exposed on a laptop drive, and, as such, they get dirty pretty easily.
If you can't get it to work I think your only option would be to buy an external burner
hi guy will love to how to lear copy my xbox 360 games with imgburn please help
You cannot copy original xbox/xbox360 games with ImgBurn ... ImgBurn can write them only.
