Command Sequence Error and Synchronising Cache problem
Shamus_McFartfinger replied to marcusb's topic in ImgBurn Support
Crap. Dunno how I messed that one up. Good call. -
You really have to wonder, don't you? If a pressurised can of flammable liquid is on fire, what other possible outcome was he hoping to achieve by hitting it with a big stick? I can't think of many.

Command Sequence Error and Synchronising Cache problem
Shamus_McFartfinger replied to marcusb's topic in ImgBurn Support
You say you've tried different media but all I see are Riteks ...... which are garbage. The "Command Sequence Error" and "No Additional Sense Information" errors are media errors. If you can post a log showing a failure with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media, we'll be able to do more. As for the other programs working properly, who knows? BTW, there's some firmware updates available for your drive (You have v1.00) NEC firmware v1.03 http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/disclaimer/en...3_orig.zip.html NEC modified firmware v1.04 http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/fwinfo/en/7170a/1o4 -
crap. Double post.

Does the beer not come and get you by now At this time of day (4:30am here) and after a beer or two, I'm not sure what's supposed to happen.
-
Please post the log file from the bottom window or select the Help menu and select Imgburn Logs then copy and paste the log here. EDIT: Shouldn't have gotten that beer while replying.

He must be an idiot. I've seen airbags lift a 44 gallon drum 10 feet into the air. With luck he was neutered in the process and can't further contaminate the gene pool.

Device Not Ready(medium not present)

Or you could pull the existing drive out and replace it with a proper DVD burner. It depends on how much money you have and how confident you are about pulling your laptop apart. -

The guy was right. You have DVD reader/CD burner, not a DVD/CD burner. Big difference. -

problem burning avi files as a data disk dual layer dvd
Shamus_McFartfinger replied to anvil's topic in ImgBurn Support
Prone to crash? That's a big claim. Admittedly, some fail. Others, like the trusty HD in my Amiga 4000 have been running fine for the past 10 years. Heat is one of the big killers of harddrives. Keep 'em cool and they last longer. Cleaning the inside of the case every couple of months with compressed air will get rid of the insulating crud that builds up on everything over time - keeping it cool. Use 5400 rpm drives instead of 7200 rpm. They're a bit slower but they run cooler. Buy Seagate drives - they run cooler than everything else (which is why they work best in a PS2). Buy a Coolermaster PC case or something similar that has heaps of air flow. etc... etc... Spare a thought for lmao2k as he has 13TB to manage. -

Please help - Invalid address for write Verbatim 16x
Shamus_McFartfinger replied to ladybird's topic in ImgBurn Support
Just out of curiosity, slow the drive down to 8x (or even slower) and see if the problem persists. -
Forgetting ImgBurn for the moment, are you able to copy these files from the DVD to the HD using Explorer or something as they look like normal read errors to me. BTW, the latest firmware for your drive is v1.22 which can be found here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/i...R107D_FW122.exe

I/O Error When ripping: build/device---with ripit4me

Bite me! I've got a better idea. Why not use your obvious intellect and use the search function before posting? That way, you don't have to ask the same question that's been answered a thousand times before and we can be spared your razor-like wit.
