  1. Think outside the box, Grasshopper. Put an ad in your local newspaper/supermarket for free firewood. You get rid of the timber and they get something for nothing.
  2. LOL!! Sounds like a severe case of Alcohol Deficiency Syndrome.
  3. In a nutshell, you can't just take a bunch of DVD video files and burn them to disk and expect everything to work. It just ain't gonna happen. Perhaps a basic explanation is in order. Each DVD has has something called an IFO (information) file. This little file contains all sorts of info about your DVD such as where the video and audio content is and, specifically, how to access it. If you dump a bunch of VOB (video object) files and an IFO onto a DVD from various sources, you will only be able to play the content that your IFO file can find (that it's programmed to point to). The only way you'll be able to access the content from various home movies or whatever is to re-author the DVDs, which is re-writing the IFO file to tell it where those various sound and video files are. It's *ALOT* of fucking around for a small gain. One option would be to convert your DVDs to DivX/MPEG format and then load all of them into a professional authoring package like "TPMGEnc DVD Author" or something. As I said, it's alot of fucking around.
  4. Why not use the instructions of the service you downloaded the ISO from? Afterall, a legal service would provide instructions on how do deal with the file, wouldn't it?
  5. I use Media Player Classic. Get it (included in the K-Lite codec pack) from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
  6. Check it out...... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/music/clipserve...7461813-2652620
  7. This is probably 30 or more years old and originally wriiten by an Australian by the name of Chad Morgan. Handsome, ain't he?
  8. I knew there was a reason why I like Pioneer drives.
  9. I like Pioneer drives. Always have. They're just...... easier. That said, the Plextor px-755uf looks like a good drive. You can find a review on it at this link. http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=298 If you do buy one, do yourself a favour and be wary of installing any software that may come with it. Roxio are notorious for installing software that creates havoc - like their packet writing software. Just an opinion.
  10. Hmm...... question: Will these things read an encrypted disk? It'd be pretty useless if it didn't. I really don't see an upside in having one of these things which probably means I'm overlooking the obvious. 200 CDs x 20 songs each (being generous) is only 4000 songs. How many can a crappy 120gig drive hold? 25,000? 30,000? All instantly accessible from any network device. I dunno. I'm missing something.
  11. You have far too much time on your hands, mate. And I like A MEDIC I SNOT. It's very Australian......
  12. Open ImgBurn - select the HELP menu and then select ImgBurn logs.....
  13. It depends on your drives' firmware and also the media used. If the media tells the drive it doesn't support 2.4x then it won't burn at 2.4x. The drives' firmware (internal software) also has to support this speed. If 2.4x isn't in the list of allowable speeds, again, it won't burn at that speed. Information telling what the drive and media are capable of is displayed in the right side window when in WRITE mode. 14. Correction: A scared duck shaped vibrator. A recently secret pastime until the visiting UK rugby squad complained that kangaroos were incompatible with British lovemaking paraphernalia . i.e gumboots. Hair replacement therapy?
  15. Ah! (The light just went on). A link with the original post would have come in handy.
  16. I'll pass. I dunno what the nurses over your way are like but over here most have faces like a half-sucked mango.
  17. LOL! Crap? LOL!! I struggle with stick figures and have no artistic ability at all. Be proud. If I had half the ability you've obviously got, I'd be nursing a semi.
  18. Hmm... that's a new one. The only thing I can think of is your virus killer is having problems depacking the ImgBurn executable. I think Lightning_UK is best qualified to answer this one.
  19. It may be able to Re-Author any movie released, but it cant Re-Author with good quality with HD and BlueRay, and even some DVD9s. I'm wondering why you'd bother re-authoring a 25gig disk. Even if you managed to compress just the movie content, it's still going to be one huge arsed file. If it could fit on a DVD9 it'd look like crap, which defeats the purpose of having hi-def in the first place. Seems pretty pointless paying a thousand dollars for a hi-def player and then trying to squeeze the content onto a DVD. You might as well just buy the DVD in the first place. Or am I missing something?
  20. Possibly a book on how to copy and paste?
  21. Osay ancay Iway. Eitherway e'reway allway eniusesgay orway allway idiotsway. Ifway Iway asway artersmay I'dway owknay ichwhay. Iway inkthay.
  22. What? No friends, mate? Never fear, I'm here!
