  1. Region code has nothing to do with video format. We don't use or support ner0.
  2. We should be shareholders given the amount of referrals Verbatim gets from this forum.
  3. Dunno. It's not your avatar. I go all slobbery whenever I see it. (Anyone got a hanky?)
  4. Never seen these before. Not sure I'd trust them to get a good burn..... even if they are rewritable.
  5. You're welcome. Drop by if you need more help.
  6. In reality it shouldn't make any difference. Afterall, your drive is ultimately responsible for what is burned to disk. ImgBurn or Ner0 or whatever are just the interfaces that tell your hardware how to behave and to do as it's told. If the drive and media have a compatibility problem, the choice of burning program is irrelevant.
  7. Please don't cut the log short. Changing media won't help if you've gone from crap to crap or bad firmware to worse firmware. If you need help - post the entire log.
  8. Welcome. It sure does. You have what's called a combo drive. It can read from CDs and DVDs but it only burns to CDs. You need a drive capable of burning to DVD. If you decide to grab a new drive (which you need) I suggest buying a Pioneer 111 as it's a fast and reliable beginners drive.
  9. Tried the guides area?
  10. Sounds logical to me. Belarc Advisor might be able to help you here as it should list the model number for your motherboard as well as stats on various other bits. Download it from http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html I assume so. You didn't post the entire log which makes it impossible to tell.
  11. I'd like to get to the UK one of these days. Most of the beta guys are either in the UK or near there (Hi Corny!) so the chance to get drunk with the lads and tell outrageous lies would be alot of fun.
  12. Our Munificent Benefactor is pretty laid back. It's why we've stuck around for so long. Almost 4 years for me. Perhaps this year he'll give me his snail mail address. I'm feeling lucky.
  13. Those CMC MAGS should be banned. They must have accounted for 50%+ of the posts we've seen over the last few years.
  14. If I can't backup my movies, then what use is it? A truly stupid question from the mind of one suffering an obvious chemical imbalance. I suggest running a self-diagnostic on the pros and cons of criticizing the work of others. Grab a couch, put your feet up and ask yourself why people see you as such a fuckwit.
  15. I wish they were all this easy.
  16. Ask Microsoft. The files themselves won't be but the dual-layer ISO you create will be. There's really no reason to use FAT32 these days....... unless you're paranoid about losing data and don't keep backups. To convert your drive - open a command prompt (not Start/Run) and type this then hit enter: convert d: /fs:ntfs Head to Google and type in the model number of your laptop. No. Makes the disk compatible with DVD players. No. Other programs also need to set the booktype correctly otherwise nothing would work. With ImgBurn it's just more obvious. Only for +R media.
  17. Please copy and paste the logfile from ImgBurns' bottom window here so we can see what's happening.
  18. Sony outsource the manufacturiing of their media to other companies. We can see what the DVDs really are (highlighted below) from your logfile and Ritek are garbage.
  19. If there's sound in the ISO there'll be sound on the disk. Are you sure you've selected the correct audio stream for playback before burning to DVD? For example, you may have set DTS audio instead of 5.1ch audio. Not good if your player doesn't support DTS.
  20. The problems aren't your images. It's the media. A better question would be to ask the manufacturer why their media is hit and miss. Brand names like Memorex or Maxell mean nothing. The important bit is the dye used. The good thing about Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden (and the reason why we've been banging on about them for years) is that they are consistently excellent quality. ProDisc (which you have) are rubbish. Either throw them out and buy some quality media or continue using crap which will either fail to burn or verify. Your choices are fairly simple.
  21. Yep. Your media is rubbish. Get some Verbatim media.
  22. Good idea. Throw the Prodisc in the bin. You're better off just cutting your losses and buying quality media like Verbatim than trying to solve problems that are caused by bad disks. All of us here have learned the hard way.
  23. yes i have a cd/dvd burner. i'm sending the screen print as soon as i can Before getting too excited, load ImgBurn then copy and paste the log from the bottom window.
