  1. The capabilities of your drive have nothing to do with ImgBurn or Windows or any other external software. What your drive can and can't do is governed by the drives' firmware. It's your drive reporting that it can't recognise dual-layered media.
  2. A firmware update seems the obvious thing to do but I can't find one for that particular drive. Is this drive in a HP desktop PC like a Pavillion or something?
  3. I recommend the album "Abigail". Probably his signature album.
  4. I had a quick listen. (A 30 second sample at some CD sales site). Who's King Diamond? Probably one of the most under-rated heavy metal artists of all time and is probably a neighbour of Cornys'.
  5. Hmm..... I think I still prefer King Diamond.
  6. Disk and Disc are both correct. Probably just a regional thing like gray/grey or jail/goal.
  7. Sounds like recursive directories are turned off. Set ImgBurn to BUILD mode and click the OPTIONS tab. Make sure recursive directories is enabled.
  8. Songs used in Top Gear are discussed in the FinalGear forums. I've looked up a couple myself. http://forums.finalgear.com/
  9. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/stor...5001028,00.html Man cuts off own penis in busy restaurant April 24, 2007 12:00 A MAN cut off his own penis with a large knife in front of diners at a busy London restaurant. Witness Stuart McMahon, who was eating at Zizzi in the Strand with his girlfriend on Sunday, told the Sun: "This guy came running in then charged into the kitchen, got a massive knife and started waving it about. "Everyone was screaming and running out as he jumped on a table, dropped his trousers and popped his penis out. "Then he cut it off. I couldn't believe it." Police said a man in his 30s was taken to a south London hospital where his condition was stable today.

  11. I don't suppose you've got the log and a DVDInfoPro scan handy there somewhere?
  12. Lightning_UK! is the sole owner/shareholder/CEO etc of ImgBurn. It's his baby and no-one else owns any part of it. I'm sure he appreciates your comments though.
  13. Or buy a cheapo DVD player that supports both formats.
  14. Could also be a media/drive problem. One of my PS2s refuses to play backups unless they're on TDK or Taiyo Yuden media. The other one doesn't care what I use. Go figure.
  15. Not quite an alcoholic yet. Infact, I'm conducting a personal study on how the intake of beer can prevent the common cold. Whether it turns out to be true or not is immaterial as it won't prevent me from persisting.
  16. Do yourself a huge favour and toss these disks into the bin. They really are garbage. Get yourself some genuine Verbatim media instead.
  17. Err..... have you included beer consumed in the equasi...... euqato.... scenario? Besides, if the DVD is Mode1 you'd never know the difference. *sigh* Nurse! Another beer! Stat!
  18. A valid point about the smilies possibly looking amatuer-ish, however, the vast majority of users are looking for something *simple* to use. Something that automatically and easily identifies what layerbreak should be chosen for the best results. Given the years that many of us have spent leeching and learning from L_UK, I maintain that implememting something that cuts down on the questions asked in the forum is a good thing. A simple smily is pretty easy to understand, even for a beginner.
  19. I still think Daemon Tools would be easier. Not that it is but I refuse to admit that I might be wrong, which I'm not. Can someone pass me another beer, please? Thanks.
  20. You're right about the smilies suggestion. My bad. Having them as optional would be pretty cool though.
  21. Crap. I meant Lite-On. Not enough beer, methinks. EDIT: Or did I mean LG? Too much beer, methinks.
  22. I should clarify, I don't have a problem with the colours used at the moment. I still like the smilies idea though. So there.
  23. Who makes the Optiarc version as Sony outsourced their DVD drives to LG a couple of years ago.
  24. Load them into Daemon Tools. http://www.daemon-tools.cc
  25. I agree with Blu. I can barely distinguish between very good and average with the colours used. I like Jasons' smilies idea though.
