  1. $6 each in my money which is (checks currency market) UK?2.40 per disk.
  2. I finally found a local supplier for Verbatim DL (hooray for me!) after looking for the damned things for ages. Where? In a car audio shop of all places. Go figure.
  3. I was too until yesterday. I bought one for Mrs Shamus' birthday today (who is getting slightly fooked off with the stupid way it works). Anal lube should have been included with the iPad as well as $sony products.
  4. Possibly but if it works with DVDD it'll work with ImgBurn.
  5. Mouse? What mouse?
  6. Agreed. Still, it doesn't matter who it is, they can all cook up some pretty disgusting stuff. :&
  7. I've lost half of mine. Lucky I still have half left. Although, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.
  8. You'll probably enjoy the things that Lightning_UK! is adding to ImgBurn that we're still testing (i.e. playing with and attempting to break) for ISO creation. It's very slick indeed.
  9. It'll be a bit longer than 10 minutes. The last time I checked, 4x was the max speed for RW media but I never use them except for transferring stuff from a DVD recorder to PC. <Shamus *loves* The Iron Chef>
  10. I can tell. Please turn your caps off. It's considered to be shouting. No disks at all? Strange that DVDD sees them and ImgBurn doesn't as they use the same burn engine. ImgBurn is better actually. We need more info such as burner model and media ID (which is obviously difficult if your drive can't see the disk). Have you tried re-booting before starting ImgBurn? Also, programs like AnyDVD really screw up the way ImgBurn works so shut it down if it's running. When you start ImgBurn, the panel on the right should show you info about your drive and your media (which I suspect will be the problem). The info looks like the quoted text below. This is what we really need to help you. Bad or incompatible media is almost always the problem. 11. http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,125973,00.asp Device is expected to be used in a new audio player designed to rival the iPod. Steven Schwankert, IDG News Service Monday, June 05, 2006 Toshiba today released a 2.5-inch, double-platter hard drive that it said features the highest density yet of any such component. The disk uses perpendicular magnetic recording technology to hold 277.1 megabits per square millimeter, or 178.8 gigabits per square inch. This density surpasses the current record, which Toshiba also holds, at 133 gigabits per square inch. The drive itself is designed to hold 200GB. Mass production of the disks will begin in August, the company said. iPod Rival The new technology may play a role in Toshiba's planned digital audio player to be developed in conjunction with Microsoft and Japan's NTT DoCoMo for the Japanese market. Microsoft announced Friday it would work with Japanese partners to develop the device using a version of its Windows operating system, designed to take market share from Apple Computer's iPod. The company did not provide a target release date for the product.
  12. Mate, you really need to do some reading on the basics of DVD authoring and how DVDs function. CD and DVD burning (and shortly, basic ISO and DVD creation) is what the support is here for. More advanced topics like adding menus (which have nothing to do with this software) are outside the scope of this forum as the software used probably has its own support base. (Why should we be the ones troubleshooting problems with commercial software like Nero, TPMGEnc or other authoring packages? If you?ve paid for a product, you are entitled to use the support allocated for it by the owners of said software). That said, the problem isn?t necessarily with the software you?re using but more the way you?re using it. You can?t create a set of IFO files for your movie and another set of IFOs for your menus and expect it to work without tying them together. IFO files contain basic instructions on where certain information can be found like languages, sound and your movie files. This is what commercial packages like ULead DVD Author do. They create sets of instructions that your software and also your DVD player can read and understand. If you want to create your own movies, menus, background graphics with background music etc.. this is what you need.
  13. Polo: Will the BIOS in your PC accept a 200gig drive? It's a P3/800, isn't it? You may find that it'll only see 132gigs unless it's had the BIOS written/flashed/updated to see large drives. My old Celeron 333 could use huge drives (400gigs+) but my old P3/1gig machine couldn't. It's worth investigating anyway.

  15. He did........................ but I wish you?d stop calling me god. *cough*
  16. The only benefits will be to the manufacturer. I realise that. (Not quite that old and silly yet). Instead of buying one of these beasties from $ony, I?m more inclined to wait until the market settles down (meaning I?ll wait until cracked firmware for Blu-Ray etc is available in set-top machines produced in China), so *I* decide what it can play or can?t play. When new $ony products hit the market with ?more features? they should seriously consider including a tube of anal lube with the purchase price so customers have a better idea of what they?re in for.
  17. Until Lightning_UK! releases the new version of ImgBurn, you?re going to have to do it the old fashioned way. 2 ways actually. 1. Download ImgTool *CLASSIC* from www.coujo.de. Create a folder called VIDEO_TS somewhere on your HD and then copy the VOB, BUP and IFO files to it and point ImgTool at the folder to create an ISO image. 2. Download DVD Shrink from http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_so.../dvd_shrink.cfm and OPEN FILES from the tools menu and hit BACKUP. The options window that appears will allow you to create an ISO image. Both tools are free but donations are appreciated. If you grab ImgTool ***CLASSIC*** from CouJo?s site, say hi for me.
  18. My dodgy, thirty dollar DVD player looks mighty good compared to this. I?d love to know what the benefits are of having a network capable DVD player that can secretly talk to its manufacturer. I don?t think so.
  19. Doh! Happens to me all the time.
  20. Lightning_UK! is adding new and exciting bits to ImgBurn that will make things like this alot easier. Stay tuned............
  21. Hmm... sounds shagged to me. Boss?
  22. This is going to be a totally weirded reply...... BUT DID YOU EVEN READ THE IMGBURN HOMEPAGE @ http://www.imgburn.com/ ? S
  23. To save you looking, grab it from the link below. (Make sure you get the OLD, FREE version). http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=vso_DivXtoDVD
  24. Err... just to be a wet blanket, pictures, AVI files, mp3s etc can?t be converted with either of the above tools. One solution is to use a program called Folder2ISO that will grab the contents in any given directory or folder and output them to an image file that ImgBurn can deal with. Download it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_so.../folder2iso.cfm
