Honestly? Get some more HD space. 30gigs might have been enough in past years but not these days. Particularly when you start playing with anything involving video. Before running out and buying an external HD, have a look at other options available to you of which there are many. There's the obvious one of adding another large internal HD and other not-so-obvious ways of increasing your HD real estate such as using network drives, adding high-speed/high-capacity RAID cards and/or drives or even using cheap (very cheap, high capacity) NAS units. (Network Attached Storage). There are people here that can help you with all of these options if you but ask.

No. Assuming you mean non-copyrighted works, you'll first need to convert your MPEG/AVI to DVD format and then convert the resulting files to an ISO image to be burned with ImgBurn. You can get around the Administrative problem by using the ElbyCDIO device instead of SPTI in the ImgBurn configs. The easiest way to install the ElbyCDIO driver is to first install the demo version of CloneDVD and then rebooting. Find it here: http://www.elby.de/products/clone_dvd/index.html

2 options: 1. Point DVD Shrink at the VIDEO_TS folder and have it create an ISO for you. 2. Download ImgTool "Classic" (not ImgTool Burn) and point it at the folder containing your VIDEO_TS folder. Do? They don't have to "do" anything with it. No doubt their experts have trawled through the code to DVDD in an attempt to create something that it won't circumvent. As for never being buried, I said the same thing about the Amiga before it keeled over and dissapeared into history. DVD Decrypter will remain on the peer-to-peer networks for as long as it is useful to somebody. Sooner or later it, like many other great programs over the years, will also fade into obscurity. <Philosophical mode off>

None of us are privy as to why certain elements of DVD Decrypter (like IFO mode) can't be incorporated into ImgBurn. I've never asked - nor will I ask. I, like many of the "old hands" around here simply accept it and leave it at that. EDIT: if you need to burn multiple copies of DVDs (for whatever reason), it'd be easier just to build an ISO with something like ImgTool ( http://www.coujo.de ) and use the soon-to-be-released new public version of ImgBurn with it's queue and copy features to burn as many as you like. 2nd EDIT: I've made you a picture. Huh? Both ImgBurn and the now defunct DVD Decrypter can both burn CDs. Standard data CDs anyway like Linux ISOs. If you mean copy protected music CDs, you're out of luck.

Your burner (and any other DVD drives) should be set to your region. Pop the disk out of the drive using a paper clip or thick needle pushed into the small hole on the front of the drive and put the drive back into your PC. Your computer may be getting stuck trying to read a stuffed (fooked) disk. EDIT: I found you a picture.

Having the same sort of problems with an Athlon3200. I'm sure the problem is related to the PCI Express (SIL? or whatever the hell it is) video card Thought it was a RAM problem so I replaced the RAM last week. No change. The rotten prick. I've had nothing but problems with this machine since the day it was built. Random crashes all of the time. (It absolutely hates Warcraft). I feel like drop-kicking the fukcing thing over the back fence. I certainly understand your frustration.

Sorry for the delay. Been busy. That's a good idea, that is. I went looking through the registry on a few other machines and they have also had this regkey removed. The rotten bastard. Also had a HD die a quick and rather sudden death and a network card that refuses to work on a different pc. I love computers.

Nope. That ain't it. Had it happen on another machine today for no apparent reason and it runs XP Pro. A shared drive on it worked just fine until this morning then my client pc's tell me there's not enough space on the server. It's got me fukced.

Stupid fukcing OS!! ARGH!! For the last year or so I've had an ordinary PC happily networked to everything else and haven't had any problems. 2 days ago I added a SATA RAID drive for a bit more storage space and fooking windoze said that I can no longer attach to the shared drive on the client side because there isn't sufficient space on the server. WTF?? 600gigs isn't enough? After swearing a great deal, I decided to do some reading and it turns out it's a common problem with Windoze NT4. The fact that I use Windoze 2000 (or NT6, I think), seems to be irrelevant. The solution: create a regkey called "IRPStackSize", then make up a number between 20 and 500 and edit the regkey before rebooting. Damn thing seems to work fine but I'm wondering what "exactly" I've done. Anyone? L_UK?
