  1. I reckon it's a great feature. I really must put it to work.......... when I get some spare time. *sigh*
  2. I agree with the guys. It sounds like Kelly Enema. The cartoon you're thinking of is most likely Captain Kremin. <sp?>
  3. Happy birthday, ya old bastard!
  4. One of the great things about ImgBurn is the queue feature which allows you to add multiple images to a list and have a user-defined amount of copies of each burned automagically. Not sure if it's in the public release (I don't think it it is), but it's in the latest beta version. Keep your eye out for a new version.
  5. I use UltraISO for creating image files. It's not free but I think it's the best at what it does, even allowing you to open/edit/view/add to ISO/BIN/etc images. Great program. http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/
  6. Also, grab the latest firmware for your drive as well as checking the ID of your media.
  7. Who knows? Possibly a codec problem. Unlikely but possible. To find out, grab the K-Lite Codec Pack and install it. Grab it from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
  8. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,172532,00.html Monday, October 17, 2005 There's funny money, and there's extremely funny money. Police in Twin Falls, Idaho, have almost $1 billion in fake money locked up in their evidence room ? but it's not taking up that much space because the face value of every bill is $1 million, according to The Times-News. Baffled and bemused cops seized 999 bills ? one short of $1 billion ? after a man from Buhl attempted to deposit them at a bank as collateral for a loan. "It would have been remarkable if anyone would have accepted them as legitimate," interim Police Chief Jim Munn told The Times-News. "This is just absolutely comical." Detective Sgt. David Heidemann said the counterfeit cash, printed to resemble the "horse blanket" silver certificate notes issued in 1923, was made in the United Kingdom, Canada or Nigeria. Heidemann told The Times-News that the slightly washed-out phony bills were "actually better quality than we normally see on counterfeit notes."
  9. Agreed. VSO's DivX2DVD is a great program. I can see it having problems with 9gigs of data though. It could literally double the size of the source file. I'd use an mpeg splitter to cut it in half first. http://www.doeasier.org/splitter/
  10. Nope. That's what compression programs are for. DVD2One, Instant Copy (both commercial) and DVD Shrink (free) come to mind.
  11. All this talk of crap movies has awoken the memory of a movie I'd thankfully forgotten about. When I saw it for the first time 25 years or more ago, it was a masterpiece. Brilliant acting, great music and a well written, solid storyline. The entire 90 minutes of the film was absolutely awe-inspiring. I'd never seen or heard anything like it before. The best movie ever made. I had the (mis)fortune to find it on VHS a few years ago and snapped it up for the princely sum of $10 thinking it a bargain. It's funny how your memory of some things differ dramatically from reality. Perhaps it was just the thought of being part of something bigger. To be in the company of heroes. To see gods come alive and "in the flesh" for the masses (myself included), to worship. The movie in question (and possibly the worst movie of all time) : KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park.
  12. Something pumpkin related............. http://www.skagitvalleyherald.com/articles...news/news04.txt
  13. Might I remind you that this is not a decryption forum. Posting logs showing the decryption process is unlikely to help Lightning_UK in any way, shape or form with the possible exception of expediting a trip to court.
  14. Why bother? You can't argue with idiots and expect to win.
  15. Shamus's daytime job? =)) Regards Nothing quite like watching a bucket of tar all day then going home knowing you've put in a solid days' work. <cough>
  16. Read at your own risk here........... http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/I/IG_...-10-06-19-53-41
  17. Because of legal contraints we are unable to show you how to remove DVD copy protection. MrBass.org is a great place to learn about different software, including a guide for this program.
  18. Seen this? http://www.coujo.de/ib2/index.php?showtopic=2148&hl=
  19. I hope it's enough to get myself back on Lightning_UKs christmas card list.
  20. I can think of another popular forum that does the same thing. It basically boils down to people and how they handle authority (perceived or otherwise), such as being a forum mod or program/software/hardware expert etc... Some wear their power with ease because they have nothing to prove. Others seem to let it go to their heads. I doubt any of the beta testers are here because of some inate need to be recognised as such. Personally, I'm here because I like it here. Great people. A great forum with very few dickheads. Just an opinion...
  21. Agreed. My local "mod shop" has had PS2's and XBox's stacked to the ceiling waiting to be chipped. The local Trading Post (newspaper) has literally hundreds of adverts for modchips on a weekly basis and has had for years. Making it illegal a couple of years ago didn't slow it down any.
  22. It's not the program. Check out this log from a beta version a few weeks back. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=28
  23. Finally got to read it. Interesting concept. Given that the reviewer had so much trouble with it, it makes you wonder how it got released in the first place. A bit more info about the unit itself would have been nice though.
  24. Given the amount of dickheads on the internet these days, including those in popular backup forums, it's not surprising. The amount of experts (on any given subject), seems to be growing at an alarming rate. What else can one do but swear? ... Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer. - Mark Twain
