Tiger...LISTEN TO POLO, LFC and CORNY...If you don't eliminate issues as we tell you to, you're going to get get really frustrated when we stop trying to help you because you won't listen to the advice you're given. Your choice of media is bad, change it.

Welcome to the forum! 1. Your discs are pure garbage, search for "cmc mag" using the search function and you'll see why I said that. 2. I don't recognize your error, but someone else may that comes along later in the day. If you have any other programs, such as AnyDVD or some such running in the background, shut it off since they interfere with ImgBurn and are not useful with it. 3. ImgBurn works well with Vista as far as we have been able to tell so I would start the elimination processs with trying the burn on Verbatim DataLifePlus discs or Taiyo Yuden...these are the only manufacturers that we respect around here. 4. If your problem persists, and anytime you need help, please post the full logfile that ImgBurn generates; there is a lot of info there and it saves us trying to use our crystal balls to figure out what happened...

The only ones that produce good media is Verbatim at the moment. I don't know what difficulties the other manufacturers are facing, but for consistenty good burns you'll need Verbs. Your Imations are made with/by Ricoh and they are not the quality that the Verbs are.

Are you logged on as an Administrator on your machine?

No.......I disagree..........This may be a big problem for you because of your need to use long file names, but I do not see it as a problem for ImgBurn or the 10's of thousands of other users.....

Hi LD and welcome to the forum. IngBurn creates a logfile that contains some necessary information that we have to be able to look at in order to eliminate several of the more common problems encountered with the process. Please post a complete copy of the log for us....

You have Burn-Proof enabled acccording to your log. Therefore it matters not if the buffer drops to 0 since the drive will simply wait for the buffer to fill giving it something to burn...this does not affect the quality of the burn. Also unless you know the exact position of the laser as it is burning onto the disc, you can't be sure that the sound problem is with the burn and not the file you are burning from. I would remake the file and try again.

I have to agree w/corny...Verbs are the only consistent producer that I have found.
