  1. An I/O error generally indicates a firmware or disc problem. Using Ritek discs is not recommended here since the quality of their products has greatly decreased in the last....about 7-9 months. The only +R DL disc we recommend here is Verbatim. Since you did get some good burns, count yourself lucky and now move on to the recommended Verbs.
  2. Glad you got it sorted out and thanks for letting us know...
  3. Hi Rick, and welcome to the forum. I agree with Ken, change the media to TY or Verbs and see what happens. If you do encounter a problem, always post a logfile from IB as it contains a whole lot of info that we need to be able to better assess the problem. spinner
  4. Skipit; First of all, shouldn't this have been posted in the chat section, it doesn't call for IB support at all. Please try to keep to the forum headings when posting. It sounds like you did about everything you can do, but without my crystal ball I can't tell what the make of the drive or anything else is. I would suggest that you try e-mailing the drive manufacturers customer support and explain...in detail...what it's doing and maybe they can help. spinner
  5. Mike; We do not assist ANYONE with any digital property that you do not own the rights to, that's just the way it is here. We answer in many ways but the bottom line is still the same, we don't assist...period. You can find what you want by using a search engine, I personally like Google. Please post back if you have a problem using ImgBurn, but do that after you have read the forum, FAQ's and done a search here on your own. spinner
  6. So do I Cath....that would be People Eating Tasty Animals would it not?????
  7. Wasn't aimed at you old friend. One of my step-daughters just missed being killed there because she and a girlfriend were late for work and it holds very bad thoughts for me personally. The change is good
  8. That's simply disgusting.
  9. ImgBurn and Burrrn are all I need to use here
  10. Hi and welcome to the forum. As zacoz said, please post a logfile from one of the failed or poorly timed burns, we really do get a lot of info off of those. Also, as a first guess, I'd venture to say that your media is bad. We recommend Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus around here and have found them to be the best.
  11. Working part-time for Pay-Pal now...eh donta???
  12. OMG did MJ get....fiddled????
  13. Polo; NEC USA
  14. Up until 6-8 months ago I was a dedicated Ritek user also. Their quality control has steadily declined and now their media is on the 'junk' list as far as I am concerned. You are, of course, free to use anything you want, but we recommend the use of Verbatim +R DL's here. If you are seeking our opinion as to whatever your problem is, and then don't want to make changes as we suggest, then you pretty well leave us behind and are free to go about figuring out things on your own. Not being a smart-ass here, just stating the way things are. We've made thousands of burns here and speak from a fairly knowlegeable position.
  15. Looked a little further and found that: The NEC Global site only shows firmware version 2.1A as being the latest released. Herries NEC pages show no firmware updates for the drive. Sorry;
  16. A little late...but.... Happy Birthday Shamus
  17. DVD's are set to regions by the manufacturers. We do not advise on how to do ANYTHING related to ripping, and, as changing the region code deals with a subject that we do not discuss here, you would be better off doing a Google search for what you want to know. If you have a problem with using IB then please post about it.
  18. Same from me guys and gals!!!
  19. Thanks for letting us know you got it sorted out.
  20. Post a log please.
