  1. Use the Verify mode to compare that disc with the game image on your HD. Please post the log generated after you do this. The verify doesn't cause coasters, but it does show when a burned disc is bad because it compares data on the disc against the source image/files: if they don't match then it's a bad burn. I wouldn't be asking that "someone" for any other advice
  2. ImgBurn can't copy protected discs, and PS3/xbox360/Wii games are protected.
  3. Your burner doesn't like those discs. Try with Verbatim 2.4x blanks to see if they work better. You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on your drive. You should also update ImgBurn.
  4. Yes, you need to extract the boot image from a win7 disc. After doing this ImgBurn will even ask you if you want to use the same settings for the next burn By the way, you should also use the same filesystems as the original disc.
  5. The burn process depends on the burner/firmware/media combination: the software simply feeds data in the correct sequence. If something goes wrong then it's those three variables you need to check. Burners can get dirt on their lens too, so try a lens cleaner disc on that drive. Also check again for firmware updates, just to make sure you have the latest. Do a Full Erase on your RW disc and then burn your data on it. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to get Verbatim discs or a new burner
  6. Have a look: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...ost&p=95112
  7. Care to say which burner and firmware you have? You can post a log from a burn if you want
  8. How can you say it's not a solution if you haven't tried it yourself? We're not saying buy 100 of them. Buy 3-5 discs and try them out. You won't lose a lot of money if they don't work. In fact, you've already lost some money with the garbage media that doesn't work. And yes, I did search and all I've found was people using old burners with outdated firmware trying to burn new discs that their burner's didn't even seem to support. I also understand why you think it's a vista problem, because the burning fails at 50%, or, in more appropriate words, at the layerbreak. The thing is, from the burner's point of view, it's much harder to write to the 2nd layer, as it has to correctly focus the laser and use the right amount of power, not to mention many other operations. This is where the low quality media shows its weakness: it doesn't change the way it's supposed to. By the way, I'm using vista x64 with a Samsung SH-S203B burner and, guess what? No problems here burning Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks at any speed.
  9. Do you guys really think they wouldn't use a strong protection? Anyway, ImgBurn can't copy protected discs and that kind of talk isn't welcome here.
  10. Ever heard "you get what you pay for"? The burn process relies on the burner/firmware/media combination: the software simply feeds data in the correct sequence. If something goes wrong wth the burn process, can you guess what needs to be changed? It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out As for the Verbatim blanks, don't take just our word: look at CDFreaks, or any other forum that deals with burners and media, and you'll see the consensus. You probably would've seen this before if you were any good at using Google and didn't stick to reading the sad excuses people make up to justify their crappy media And, by the way, we don't have to guarantee anything: you haven't paid for ImgBurn. It's not like you've paid for the game, either
  11. You don't need to create an ISO image before burning. You can burn directly to disc by following this guide: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4632 AVI usually carries highly compressed video/audio at the price of lower quality, while DVD-Video uses less compression and has much better picture quality but at the cost of a bigger size. You can try and put more than one movie per DVD but in the end the quality will be pretty bad, worse than the source.
  12. You can find the logs in ImgBurn's Help menu. And please start your own thread.
  13. Make sure your burner has the latest firmware (if you're going to update the firmware then remove any disc and close the tray before updating and reboot after it's finished). The BenQ tab of ImgBurn's Book Type dialog should allow you to booktype +R media to DVD-ROM. Also use high quality blanks such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden
  14. Can you try that drive on another computer? If you can, try the firmware update on the other computer too.
  15. I'm sorry but you've been scammed. ImgBurn is free software. Hurry and try getting a refund with clickbank or whoever processed your payment.
  16. Have you disconnected it from the computer, turned it off, restarted the computer then plugged it in again?
  17. Edit the lines from the CUE file replacing I:\ with E:\ and it should work. Next time you're creating CUE files, untick the option Preserve Full Pathnames and save the CUE file in the same folder where the MP3s are
  18. Where's the log from when you've burned the ISO? Look in ImgBurn's Help menu.
  19. From the machine that you're trying to burn, is that a valid path/filename? I'm asking because it seems the CUE file was made including the whole path to the MP3 file, so if that path is wrong then ImgBurn won't find the files. You can open the CUE file with Notepad to have a look
  20. The Verbatim 2.4x blanks have been around longer than the 8x ones and they're better supported by burners. Seeing as x360 drives are quite picky about the media I guess you should try with a few Verbatim 2.4x blanks to see how it turns out
  21. Yeah, well, that's not gonna happen because what you want isn't allowed by the hardware and/or the disc type standard. You need a magician in order to turn crap into gold By the way, use a lens cleaning disc on your drive and check if it has the latest firmware. Maybe this can help with your garbage media :&
  22. Please read the pink banner at the top of this page
  23. When that happened, were you able to cancel the burn/close ImgBurn normally? Also please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in the Tools menu).
  24. Also update ImgBurn to the latest version
