  1. Most likely it's the media, but we'll only know if you post a log of that burn.
  2. Look for the latest chipset/storage drivers for your system (this website might help).
  3. If you actually read what LUK said above you'd have concluded that the problem is with something on your system and we can only help so far. Maybe if you posted a Hardware log (right-click the Hardware branch) from SIW or similar detailed hardware log then we could try and help you find what driver / configuration / software could be causing that.

  5. Use the Write mode, as the guide LUK posted above says.
  6. Your burner is too old and doesn't support the new media you have. You'll have to get a new burner, which is pretty cheap these days, and will also ensure top quality burns on current market's media.
  7. Don't need to change anything, and yes, try with your external drive.
  8. Your burner doesn't like that DVD-RW disc. Try with another rewritable disc, preferably a Verbatim one, and it should work.
  9. You can install the latest version over the old one and it'll preserve your settings.
  10. My guess is that your recorder wants rewritable discs in DVD VR format, and when you burn normal files/DVD-Video content to those discs, the recorder simply ignores them. The same happens if you try to use DVD-RAM media.
  11. ImgBurn has its own burning engine.

  13. Try burning at 4x or 6x. Try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it. If none of that works then you'll need to use another burner, preferably a normal-sized one since slim burners are rubbish.
  14. ImgBurn doesn't have an edit CUE file function, but since it's just a text file, you can use Notepad to edit it (just don't modify anything other than TITLE and PERFORMER lines).
  15. You should update your Intel storage drivers too (you're on 8.9.0.1023).
  16. The IDE controller is in RAID mode and that's probably what's causing this problem. Run SIW on that system and find out which storage controller(s) you have, then look for their latest drivers. If you prefer you can export your hardware configuration and we'll take a look (in SIW right-click the Hardware option in the tree then Export to -> HTML)

  18. Try cleaning the discs, preferably with one of those kits (any videostore should have them or even do it for you). You could also try reading those discs with other DVD drives. On another note, there's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc before updating the firmware then reboot the computer after the update is finished). The newer firmware could help with reading those discs.
  19. You press F8 just before starting to read the disc. I guess the problem is your storage controller is in RAID mode, which isn't good for optical drives. If you don't use RAID then switch it to IDE mode. You could also try finding the latest drivers for it (this website might help).
  20. Right-click on the burner's name and go to Capabilities, is DVD+R DL ticked under Write Capabilities? From what I've found on Google it seems your burner only supports burning DVD-R/DVD-RW media at 2x, no support for DVD+R or DVD+R DL media.
  21. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=5555 - this is the guide for creating an Audio CD from music files. Where did you load the .cue file you've created previously? It should be loaded in the Write mode, so that you can burn it to a disc.
  22. Maybe you have defective discs. Try burning at 8x or 12x and you should get a good burn.
  23. Please post the log from when you've burned that disc.
  24. You did see the link in my post, right? Is that firmware updater saying your drive isn't compatible or something?
  25. Please post the log of one of such burns.
