  1. Try IsoBuster for extracting the contents of that disc.
  2. The buffer size limit is 512 MB, which is much larger than any other burning software will allow, and if that isn't enough, you could always create a ramdisk/ramdrive.
  3. If it hasn't finished yet, restart your computer, take the disc out and update your burner's firmware (restart again after updating). Then try doing the Full Erase again.
  4. You can set the number of retries in Tools -> Settings -> Read tab.

  6. Look for the latest chipset/storage drivers for your system. This website might help.
  7. Yeah, and that's because you're re-using a blank disc that has failed to burn before. Your burner has poor support for those blanks, and on top of it, slim burners are rubbish in general. If you want to stand a chance with the media you have, set the write speed to MAX and use a brand new blank disc. If it doesn't work then your only options are trying with Verbatim media or try with another burner, preferably a normal-size one.
  8. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Do you have any particular reason for using the VSO Patin Couffin interface? If not, switch back to the default SPTI interface.
  9. Look for the latest drivers for your system's chipset / storage controller(s). This website might help.

  12. Are you sure that's the burner you have? That's a CD burner and DVD reader, also known as a combo drive, and you need a DVD burner in order to booktype and burn DVDs. By the way, ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on LG burners so you don't need to worry about it

  14. Get a new burner, as the one you currently have doesn't properly support the media you're using.
  15. Select "ISO9660 + Joliet" filesystem(s) in the Options tab and burn another disc. On another note, there's newer firmware available for your burner, and you might want to burn those discs at 16x instead of MAX.
  16. I'd try a new DVD-RW, preferably from Verbatim, or at least anything that doesn't use CMC dye.
  17. Older version didn't show the 'Write Speed Miscompare' message in the Log window, but they still worked the same way. Have a look in the older logs of your other PC's old ImgBurn (you can find them in the Help menu) and check the average write speed shown at the end of each burn log.
  18. Burning at a slow speed doesn't necessarily result in a better burn quality, which is what the reader devices care about. As you've said yourself, that's 8x rated media, so you should at least try that and 6x. By the way, it's the burner who determines the available burn speeds, and while ImgBurn sends the command for the 2.4x write speed you chose, the burner simply ignores it and uses the closest available write speed, which is 4x. If you want to burn slower than that then you'll need to find media that your burner supports 2.4x with.
  19. ImgBurn is compatible with any CD / DVD / HD-DVD / BluRay burner that complies with the MMC standard, which means pretty much any drive newer than 1998. As for burn quality, have a look in our Drives and our Media sections. You can also find more information in the MyCE / CDFreaks forums.
  20. If you're not going to use good quality media then at least update your burner's firmware to stand a chance of getting good burns.
  21. That's not ripping, and you should use the Read mode if you want to copy a disc as it is.
  22. Your drive can write CDs but only read DVDs, which is known as a combo drive, and you need a DVD burner in order to burn/erase DVDs.
  23. You've made the right choice: UDF 1.02 has all the properties that you want. As for closing the disc, ImgBurn does it automatically.
  24. Try burning at 6x or 8x. Also update ImgBurn.
