  2. There's firmware SB02 available for your burner. Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished.
  3. That's a floppy disc image, and burning to a disc like that won't work. What you may want to try is using Build mode, going to Advanced -> Bootable Disc, check 'Make Image Bootable' and in Boot Image select that dos322_1.iso file. Then you can burn the disc. Try with a RW disc first if you have one
  4. Look at the error message: your drive doesn't support that media. Not to mention that uses a known low quality dye. Please read this post: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  5. Please post the log from the new failed attempt.
  6. 'Medium Not Present' is shown when the drive doesn't recognize the inserted disc. Are you sure it's capable of burning dual-layer media? You can check this by going to Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities.

    .ISO ?

You followed that guide and burned the ISO created from a disc with Read mode?
  8. Yes, it is supported by ImgBurn. As for the booktype stuff, you'll have to try it to find out. I guess that drive automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM, and for DVD+R media you should try the NEC tab of the Book Type dialog and see if it works

    .ISO ?

Follow this guide to burn your ISO image: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61
  10. Try with Verbatim DVD+RW media and it should work
  11. What's the brand of the media you're using?
  12. If the drive wasn't selectable as a burning device then you're putting the DVD-R in the DVD-ROM drive, which can only read DVDs but not burn them. Besides, your DVD burner can only burn DVD+R media (no support for DVD-R), which indicates it's very old and probably won't be compatible with today's DVD+R media. You should look into buying a new burner: they're pretty cheap nowadays and support both -R and +R formats. Also, unless you need the CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives for some specific task, get rid of them as well
  13. There's firmware 1.14 available for your burner (right-click and choose Save As/Save Target As). Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. If this doesn't help then changing media is your only option.
  14. Open ImgBurn, switch to Build mode ('Write files/folders to disc"), click the yellow folder icon in the Source area and choose the folder you want to burn (or the folder that contains the folders you want to burn), click the big Burn button and you're done
  15. The drive doesn't support that media. See if the ones you've burned also have that same Media ID (RITEK-F16-01). Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media and it should work
  16. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Also update to the latest ImgBurn
  17. One day in the future ImgBurn will support multi-session in Build mode, but for now you'll have to use another program for that. Or buy an USB stick, which are dirty cheap these days...
  18. And you think you know better than the person who wrote ImgBurn? You aren't using the latest version of the program, you've messed with the program's settings when there was no need to do so, and still think it couldn't possibly ever be a media problem when your burner told you there was a Write Error?
  19. Not only you need a special reader drive, you also need the right programs, and all that is out of the scope of this forum. If you need help burning the images after they've been created then we can help you
  20. Delete all the controllers under that branch (i.e. the 'standard dual channel' and both Intel ICH10 controllers)
  21. The .dvd file tells ImgBurn where to place the layerbreak and the file is only a few bytes in size.
  22. I highly doubt those are genuine Taiyo Yuden blanks...
  23. The software has nothing to do with the burn quality: that depends entirely on the burner, firmware and media used. We know from our experience that Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks are high quality, so using them is a good start. Also make sure your burner has the latest firmware available for it. Most newer burners do better burns at 8x or 12x so try at that speed.
  24. The Verify checks the burned disc data against the source data, thus making sure it was correctly burned. It doesn't/can't affect burn quality, as that depends on 3 things: burner, firmware and media
