  1. Codec packs are bad because they install a lot of filters you'll never use. Anyway, does that CD play on a standalone DVD player or other players?
  2. Make sure you're using the latest storage drivers available for your motherboard (use SIW or HWiNFO32 to find out brand/model if you don't know). There's firmware CL01 for your GSA-H62N burner available at http://de.lgservice.com/ but I'm not sure if it'd help with this problem
  3. Are you using the latest ImgBurn available? Please make sure you are Install ffdshow and, in the installer, choose to have it decode audio only (i.e. untick decode video formats). After it's installed try burning your CD again
  4. Can you post the log of that burn? You can find it at Help -> ImgBurn Logs from within ImgBurn's main window.
  5. That's because the burner itself only burns up to 8x The best blanks are made by Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden
  6. That CUE file is right, so what's the problem now? By the way if you moved the MP3s out of that folder then it won't work, since that CUE file has full pathnames pointing to the MP3s.
  7. Open the .dvd file with Notepad and edit the first line to match the new name of the ISO image.
  8. Like this? You can click on each track and select Custom, which allows you to edit them as you please
  9. How did you burn the discs? As data (i.e. used the Build mode) or as Audio CDs (i.e. used the Create CD CUE File feature)?
  10. It seems the drive doesn't like the media you're using. Try other write speeds and also check if you're using the latest firmware available for your burners.
  11. Download the latest firmware available for your burner and apply it (remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before doing so). We recommend using Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks because they give the best burns on most drives
  12. Use SIW or HWiNFO32 to find out the brand and model of your motherboard. Then use Google to find the manufacturer's site, where you can find drivers for everything that your motherboard has
  13. It finalises automatically
  14. If after doing all that it still doesn't work right, follow what this post says entirely (i.e. removing controllers and rebooting)
  15. If the media you're using is Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x Made in Singapore (the ones Made in India are inferior quality) then I'd say your burner is the culprit. If you want to try again, and possibly waste another disc, try burning at 2.4x By the way, when burning from the .dvd file you don't need to manually set the layer break so I'd recommend that you change it back to the default Calculate Optimal in the settings
  16. That's not from ImgBurn so we can't help you based on that. Your computer restarting while building an ISO seems like it has a driver problem and/or bad RAM. Check if you have the latest drivers for your motherboard. Also try memtest86+ to test your RAM.
  17. No, the 'finalising disc' step should take 2 minutes at most. To avoid this, make sure that your burner has the latest firmware available for it and try other burning speeds, as some burners produce better burns at faster speeds (it seems you've burned at 2.4x). You also might want to try Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks. Actually you've answered this by yourself As you said, L0 (the lower and most visible layer) is bigger than Ner0's 50/50 so that's why it seems more space was used
  18. What if you drag the Roxio27.iso file from My Computer/Windows Explorer to ImgBurn's window (while in Write mode)? ImgBurn uses standard Windows API to open files, so some other program you've installed is messing with this function. Even if you selected a wrong file ImgBurn would tell you it's not an image, or maybe it'd show the file was loaded to burn as an image, but you're not getting this far, which shows the parameter isn't being sent to ImgBurn.
  19. Ensure you have the latest storage drivers for your chipset installed (you can use SIW and HWiNFO32 to find out which one you have). Have you installed any program that could interfere with the burner? Please post your Filter Driver Load Order (it's in the Tools menu).
  20. It's unlikely that the firmware update "broke" your drive, since newer firmware ensures the drive uses proper write strategy for the various media it supports. If you're not using Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks, then perhaps you have a bad batch of blanks? Also notice that the slowest burning speed is not always the one that gives the best burn quality, since newer burners are optimized for speed
  21. The only way to know is trying with Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks, which are known for their high quality dyes
  22. Power calibration errors usually are caused by poor quality media. When you have a blank disc in your burner, look at the Information pane on the right-hand side of ImgBurn's window: there will be a list of all the Supported Write Speeds informed by your burner. Even though you've selected 1x, only those speeds are accepted by your burner, and most likely you were burning at the lowest speed available. Usually burners (especially newer ones) perform better at 8x or 12x burning speed, so you might want to try that
  23. Get Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks and it should work
