  1. Enable Verify to check if the disc was correctly burnt.
  2. Update to the latest ImgBurn version (get from Mirror 7); Try slowing the burn speed to 16x, 12x or 8x; You might want to upgrade your burner's firmware. Tthe latest version is SB03, which can be found on Samsung's Firmware page.
  3. Install MatroskaSplitter (make sure Enable MP4 support is ticked) and try again
  4. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896653.aspx <- Process Explorer
  5. Use GraphEdit (File/Render Media File) to find out which filters are being used to decode your file(s)
  6. Throw that disc in the garbage and try burning another one at 4x speed (you can also try 2.4x or 6x). If that doesn't work, try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks Unfortunately laptop burners are picky about the media they're capable of burning, and if you're going to burn more DVDs you'd be better off buying an external burner.
  7. If there's a .cue file select it as the image to burn
  8. Re-create your CUE file and when you're about to save it, change Save as type to CUE Files - Unicode (*.cue) before clicking on OK. Notice that only ImgBurn will be able to burn this CUE file
  9. Just so you notice that the OP has edited his post (which doesn't trigger the new post icon/e-mail)
  10. Follow this guide to burn your D:\DVD\dvd\dvd.iso file
  11. Find where DVD Flick saved the ISO image of your disc, right-click on it and choose Burn using ImgBurn
  12. No file is created during this dummy decode, it's all done in memory
  13. Auto 'Change Book Type' (in Tools/Settings/Write tab) is enabled by default, so if you didn't mess with it ImgBurn will already booktype your discs before burning
  14. LIGHTNING UK! I'll let you unwrap your present now... I told her you're 24, hope you don't mind...
  15. Auto 'Change Book Type' (it's in Tools/Settings/Write tab) is enabled by default so it should be working already
  16. Please post the log (you can find it at Help/ImgBurn Logs).
  17. Please follow this guide and you should be able to make a working copy of your disc
  18. Single layer discs are more reliable than double layer discs.
  19. Your Verbatim DVD-Rs are probably good and yes, ImgBurn supports HD-DVD and BluRay. For double-layer discs Verbatim DVD+R DLs 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore are the best ones to get. Verbatim DVD+R DLs 8x MKM-003-00 are also good if you have a somewhat recent DVD burner. Every other dual-layer brand is hit or miss (mostly miss)
  20. Please read this guide: ImgBurn Build Mode And yes, you can use all three filesystems, but use UDF revision 1.02 as it's the most compatible
  21. Leave all the other options in their default values, which are already the most compatible. Just remember: ISO9660 + Joliet filesystem supports filenames up to 64 characters, and if you need more than that, use ISO9660 + Joliet + UDF (UDF revision 1.02). Try with ISO9660 + Joliet first, add your files/folders, click the Calculate button and look in the Log window: if any name is longer than 64 character it'll be shown in the log
  22. I hope you have a really good one and many more to come!
  23. Use ISO9660 + Joliet as the filesystem and your disc will be readable by pretty much anything. If there are files with names longer than 64 characters (look in the Log window after clicking the Calculate button) you should then use ISO9660 + Joliet + UDF (revision 1.02) as the filesystem for your disc. By the way, since you're concerned with compatibility, save yourself future headaches and use high quality media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden
  24. If I recall correctly AnyDVD used to remove the layer break information (don't ask me why because I don't know ), so that's probably why you're getting that message. Please read again my post above: when you mount that image to a virtual drive, it'll act like just like a real drive from which you'll be able to add its VIDEO_TS folder to ImgBurn, pick a layer break and then burn your disc
  25. That image was incorrectly authored. Have you by any chance used DVD Shrink to create it? Even if you didn't, try this: use Daemon Tools (or similar) to mount that image to a virtual drive then follow this guide (use the VIDEO_TS folder that's inside the virtual drive as the source).
