  1. Your burner doesn't support those Verbatim 8X DVD+R DL blanks (notice that it doesn't show any Supported Write Speeds for this media). Time for a new burner, I guess
  2. Your burner doesn't support those blanks (that's why it shows those weird values for Supported Write Speeds). If you can't get Verbatim 2.4x MKM-001-00 blanks then you'll need a new burner
  3. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version A117 (remove any disc and close the tray before updating) and try again. If it doesn't work, try with Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore. Another option would be a new burner...
  4. We recommend using Verbatim DVD+R DLs 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks because they're known to work when others fail. Other DL media are hit or miss, especially on older burners like yours. You can buy Verbatim and be sure it'll work, or you can buy a new burner to try and burn that crappy media you have
  5. Use the Read mode to create a disc image from your VCD(s), then switch to Write mode and burn from the .cue file (follow this guide if you're in doubt)
  6. Are they Made in India? Which speed(s) are you burning them at?
  7. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61 <- please follow this guide, and if you have any doubts, feel free to ask By the way, to get the best burn, check if your burner has the latest firmware (you can do this with ImgBurn by going to Tools- > Drive -> Check for Firmware Update) and use Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore media
  8. You might want to have a look at WinMount, but don't expect any miracles...
  9. Try finding the latest drivers for your motherboard/chipset/IDE/SATA/etc (use SIW if you're not sure what brand/model they are)
  10. After you've sorted your cable/dma issue, you might want to update your burner's firmware to the latest version (1.01), as that ensures better burns even on low quality media as yours. To be on the safe side, boot in Safe Mode, remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before updating the firmware.
  11. Please install the latest version of ImgBurn (you won't lose your settings ) and, if you can, please also let it check for updates automatically. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version available (DL13) (remove any disc from it and close the tray before updating) and try again. But really, that media you're using is crap: you'll have a much better quality using Verbatim DVD+R DLs 2.4x MKM-001-00 Made in Singapore blanks.
  12. Put one of the older Verbatims in the drive and look in the Information box on the right: I bet it says Disc ID: MKM-001-00, which is the media code for Verbatim DVD+R DLs 2.4x rated discs. The ones you have are rated 8x and aren't as compatible as the older 2.4x ones. Maybe it's time for a new burner?
  13. Go to Tools/Settings, click the Defaults button, answer Yes and then click OK. If you're in Build mode, go to the Options tab and click Reset Settings. Also in Build mode, click the Output menu and choose Device. Does ImgBurn still not recognize your DVD after doing all this?
  14. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version (BL05) and try again. Might also try burning at 8x or 12x. And no, you don't need a dual-layer disc
  15. Your burner doesn't support the media you're using (notice the weird values for Supported Write Speeds). Get Verbatim DVD+R DLs 2.4x MKM-001 Made In Singapore and they should work. Or maybe a new burner?
  16. In ImgBurn, go to Tools/Filter Driver Load Order, click the Clipboard button and paste it here.
  17. It's stored in Windows' Registry under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ImgBurn key, TotalNumberOfBurns string.
  18. Also get better media (Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden highly recommended). By the way, click here if you need translation
  19. You'll need to convert your AVI file to DVD-Video (which plays on any standard DVD player) and you can do that using DVD Flick
  20. In both cases the CDs seem to have burnt OK, as both verified fine after burning. Check the CDs and source images with IsoBuster and see if they match (they should).
  21. Sorry, but we can't help you with the part of copying DVDs to your computer. We can help you with the part of burning files and disc images to DVDs, which is what ImgBurn does. Please have a look in our Guides section and, if you have any doubts about using ImgBurn, feel free to ask You might also want to read this article about different DVD sizes
  22. Please post the log from one of those failed burns (you can find it at Help/ImgBurn Logs).
  23. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1779 - please read this and you'll know
  24. Please post the whole log from that burn (you can find it at Help/ImgBurn Logs).
