  1. That happens when you forget to enable the Allow Files Without Extension option under Advanced -> Restrictions -> ISO9660 tab(s).
  2. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version available (1.02) and try again
  3. That's why "Cycle Tray Before Verify" is enabled by default: to ensure the disc can be properly recognized after burnt. Anyway, your problem is that CMC MAG media, which is known to be pure crap. Try and get Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media and you'll never have problems again. If you still want to burn those crappy discs, slow down to 4x or even 2.4x, but I wouldn't trust them with anything that you can't lose.
  4. Update your burner's firmware to the latest version available (1.02) and slow down the burn to 8x, or even 4x. The fact is, though, that your media (CMC MAG) is of really poor quality, so try and get Verbatim or Taiyo Yudens and you'll never have problems again.
  5. Still the same problem: poor quality media
  6. Something is "holding" your drive. Doesn't Process Explorer show anything when you search for the cdrom handler? Also, please use the Filter Driver Load Order option (click the Clipboard button) from the Tools menu and post here the results.
  7. If you still want to burn those CMC discs, try slowing down the burn to 8x, or even 4x, and maybe they'll work, but I wouldn't trust them with anything that you can't lose
  8. I use the Automatic Write Speed feature of ImgBurn to make sure that my precious Verbatim MKM-001s are always burnt at 2.4x
  9. Please post a log from one of your burns (you can find them at Help/ImgBurn logs).
  10. I have that same player and it doesn't care about the booktype Please try and follow LIGHTNING UK!'s advice posted above and see if it solves your problem.
  11. Also, this post from the FAQ tells you how to solve the "failed to lock volume" problem.
  12. Power calibration errors mean that your burner doesn't support the discs you're using (notice that it didn't show the MID). Usually a firmware update can solve this problem, but I couldn't find one for your drive, except for cross-flashing. Try other brands of DVD+R media, preferably Verbatim, as, currently, your burner only supports the DVD+R(W) standard.
  13. That message is displayed when, for whatever reason, your HD couldn't sustain the transfer speed needed for burning at the speed you've selected. Defragment your HD and avoid using "heavy" programs while burning and this message should go away. As for the games working or not, it's probably media related: for dual-layer use only Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001) media, and burn at 2.4x for best results. Every other dual-layer media is rubbish and will give you problems sooner or later.
  14. You don't have a DVD burner. You have a CD burner with DVD-ROM reading capability, also known as a combo drive.

  16. ImgBurn can't read protected DVDs.
  17. Also update to the latest ImgBurn version
  18. Yes, you can split it with WinRAR.
  19. It seems your drive is having trouble recognizing the media you're using. Try applying the latest firmware available (E223). If that doesn't solve your problem, buy better media, like Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden.
  20. Apply the latest firmware (A106) and try again.
  21. You should upgrade to the latest version available Which chipset does your motherboard use? Did you install the drivers for it?
  22. You need to use Build mode, for which you can find a guide in this post of the Guides section: ImgBurn Build Mode
  23. Post the log from your attempts (you can find them at Help/ImgBurn logs), but it's very likely that the DVD is protected, and ImgBurn can't copy protected discs.
  24. Have you also set Software Retries, and possibly Hardware Retries, to 0? Have you tried other programs, like IsoBuster or IsoPuzzle, to try and salvage what's readable?
  25. The image is even linked to the relevant post...
