  1. Your burner is too old and doesn't support the newer media you're using. You could try finding older 8x rated media to see if it'll work or you'll need to get a new burner, which is quite cheap these days.
  2. That's the slowest write speed your burner supports on the media you're using, and if you're not using crappy media then it should work fine.
  3. Update ImgBurn. Look for the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help). After doing that and rebooting, insert a blank disc in the burner and, with ImgBurn in Write mode, copy and paste here all the media information text shown in ImgBurn's main window.
  4. Try the other write speeds. Try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it.
  5. Cynthia Consider yourself warmly hugged
  6. That should be solved with the next ImgBurn version, which doesn't have a release date yet
  7. If your burner doesn't recognise blank discs then it's defective.
  8. You could also try the other write speeds.
  9. If it wasn't important then it wouldn't be enabled by default, would it? And it should be faster than the burn part.
  10. http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1508-file_BL0X.EXE.html Also try burning at 8x or 6x.
  11. ImgBurn relies on the information provided by the burner, and in your case... Your drive reported the disc as having 295,232 sectors (~600mb), when it usually should report 359,844 sectors (~703mb). I would guess it's because it's too old.

  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSSTcorp Try using IsoBuster to extract the contents of yours discs.
  14. Then use your other burner.
  15. Try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it. If that doesn't help then you'll need to use/buy another burner.
  16. What's the brand and model of the storage controller(s) you have?
  17. The log you posted is incomplete.
  18. Also that disc was damaged in a previous failed burn so you need to try with a brand new one.
  19. Yes, it's OK to use those filesystems
