  1. Matshita burners don't support changing the booktype: it's a limitation of those burners, not ImgBurn's. For DVD+R DL media they automatically booktype to DVD-ROM by themselves, as all burners on the market do.
  2. Feel free to write your own burning program and keeping up with all the users' requests
  3. Notice the updated firmware added 4x as another supported write speed, so yes, the burner does support that type of media.
  4. I've never seen Verbatim DVD+R DL media that doesn't use MKM dye. That power calibration error means your burner doesn't like those discs, so you'll have to try other brands until you find something that works.
  5. Your burner doesn't support those Sony 16x DVD-R blanks. You could try finding 8x blanks that your burner may support, or burning those 16x Sony on a friend's computer.
  6. Look for the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help). Next time try burning at 6x or 8x. You should also read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  7. The program's log has more useful information that we need, so please post it.
  8. You'll only need to do it if the burner isn't working as it should, e.g. errors out when burning. Doing it too many times without really needing it may actually wear the lens' protective coating, which will render the whole thing useless.

The firmware is stored on a memory chip on the drive itself, so you just run the updater and it'll update the firmware on the burner.
  10. Look for the latest storage drivers for your system (this website might help). Also please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).
  11. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot the computer after the update is finished) and then please copy again and paste here the media information.
  12. You can use a computer with Vista, Windows 7, Linux or MacOSX (they have native support for UDF 2.50) or you could try IsoBuster on your computer.
  13. With ImgBurn in Write mode and that disc in the drive, please copy and paste here all the media information text (panel on the right).
  14. Please keep it in your other thread, and since this isn't specific to ImgBurn, it shouldn't be in the ImgBurn Support section.
  15. After posting the information asked by LUK... Update your burner's firmware and try the other burning speeds. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps.
  16. It's part of Windows 2000/XP and later versions. That's also why it's the standard interface used by ImgBurn.
  17. Without the log we don't know what happened and can't help you.
  18. Post the log.
  19. Because it's supposed to work on a console, not on a computer? I'm sorry but you can find all the information you want using Google. This forum is for ImgBurn and burning in general
  20. It should be readable on the Wii, not by the operating system.
  21. The dye used to manufacture those discs is known to be low quality. From our experience Verbatim (non-value line) and Taiyo Yuden are the best you can get.
  22. It's a readable burn so either your console is picky about the media it likes or the burn quality you're getting with your burner/firmware/media combination is awful.
  23. Have you tried burning at 4x? Try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
  24. You can find previous logs in ImgBurn's Help menu.
  25. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Oh and update ImgBurn too.
