  1. Get the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help).
  2. Try something like Beyond Compare.
  3. Try burning at 4x or 6x. Try cleaning the drive with a lens cleaning disc, or even manually if you know how to do it.
  4. Try the other available write speeds. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner, or even manually cleaning if you know how to do it.
  5. Nope, as that information is provided by the driver. As for trying with RAID enabled, the driver should detect the change by itself, or else Windows just won't boot. In that case disabling RAID in the BIOS would take it back as it was and it'll work again. Does it hang if you try with Test Mode enabled? Please try with CD-R and DVD-R too if you can.
  6. Well, then try booting with RAID enabled in the system's BIOS just to see if it works.
  7. Install the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help). Also please read this about dual-layer media quality.
  8. Try asking in a forum dedicated to Xbox 360. Maybe they have more experience with this kind of problem
  9. That blank was damaged in a previous failed burn. Try again with a brand new blank disc.
  10. As I said before in one of your previous topics, you shouldn't change any of the default settings. The OP's problem is specific to his system and using a bigger buffer could help but isn't mandatory at all, or else ImgBurn would already use a larger buffer, don't you think? The Verify is done at the maximum speed your drive can read so it'll be much faster than the burn. With that burner you should also get good burns at 4x, 6x and 8x (those are 8x rated blanks after all) so you're just wasting time by burning at 2.4x
  11. In Test Mode the burner performs everything but turning on the laser, so the disc isn't actually burned. It's useful for any situation where you want to simulate a burn but don't want to waste a disc, e.g. to test if your system can burn DVDs at 24x. Notice, though, that a successful test doesn't mean the real burn will be successful since a lot of things can change while doing a real burn. As for the Verify, it compares data burned on the disc against the source image/files, and if you get read errors/miscompares then you know it's a bad burn.
  12. Can you try that disc on other X360 consoles to see if it works on them? When you burned the game on your friend's computer, did you use the same blanks you're using with your burners?
  13. If you were to manually load the .dvd file you'd use the Write mode, i.e. "Write image file to disc". When you double-click the .dvd file and ImgBurn opens, it'll already be in the correct mode. The .dvd file is an index that tells ImgBurn how to correctly burn the .iso file. Burn your disc and leave Verify enabled, as that's what ensures it was a good burn or not. If you have any problems doing that then please post the program's log so that we can see what's going on.
  14. The booktype that counts is the one under Last Recorded, so it isn't the problem. You didn't Verify the burn so we don't know if the burn was good or not. Use the Verify mode to verify that disc against that image file, and then please post the log of that operation.
  15. Were you using the D: drive with some other program? If you were then that could be why the buffer was getting low. Since you have a lot of memory you can increase the buffer if you want (it's in Tools -> Settings -> I/O tab). By the way, without Verify you'll never really know if the burn was good or not.

    AWS

You have to configure AWS beforehand, or else it'll just use MAX speed.
  17. Have you installed this driver package? You could also try burning at 16x or 24x instead of MAX.
  18. Double-click on the Halo 3.dvd file and it'll open in ImgBurn ready for burning.
  19. Have you tried 16x and 24x?
  20. Something on your system is preventing ImgBurn from running, so you'll have to find out what it is.
  21. Try the faster write speeds, slow isn't always better. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  22. This is the real error that your burner has reported. Have you tried the other available write speeds? A firmware update could help with this problem but LG hasn't released none yet for your burner. If you contact Verbatim they might replace the Verbatim discs that failed to burn.
  23. Look for the latest drivers for your chipset/storage controllers (this website might help).
  24. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-Video
  25. ImgBurn doesn't convert anything. Use DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar to do what you want.
