Matshita burners don't support changing the booktype: it's a limitation of those burners, not ImgBurn's. For DVD+R DL media they automatically booktype to DVD-ROM by themselves, as all burners on the market do.
I've never seen Verbatim DVD+R DL media that doesn't use MKM dye. That power calibration error means your burner doesn't like those discs, so you'll have to try other brands until you find something that works.
Your burner doesn't support those Sony 16x DVD-R blanks. You could try finding 8x blanks that your burner may support, or burning those 16x Sony on a friend's computer.
Look for the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help). Next time try burning at 6x or 8x. You should also read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
You'll only need to do it if the burner isn't working as it should, e.g. errors out when burning. Doing it too many times without really needing it may actually wear the lens' protective coating, which will render the whole thing useless.
Look for the latest storage drivers for your system (this website might help). Also please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu).
Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot the computer after the update is finished) and then please copy again and paste here the media information.
After posting the information asked by LUK...
Update your burner's firmware and try the other burning speeds. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps.
Because it's supposed to work on a console, not on a computer? I'm sorry but you can find all the information you want using Google. This forum is for ImgBurn and burning in general
The dye used to manufacture those discs is known to be low quality. From our experience Verbatim (non-value line) and Taiyo Yuden are the best you can get.
It's a readable burn so either your console is picky about the media it likes or the burn quality you're getting with your burner/firmware/media combination is awful.
