Well, if it's new then your burner doesn't like it. Try burning at 2.4x to see if it works better, and if it doesn't then you'll have to burn it with another burner.

Update ImgBurn. Do you also get those errors when using non-rewritable media? It could be that your DVD+RW disc is worn out if it's been used much before. If you need to use rewritable media then get Verbatim and it should work fine.

With ImgBurn in Write mode and the Verbatim blank in the drive, copy and paste here all the media information text shown by ImgBurn.

Only the burner's manufacturer can tell you what exactly that error means, and yes, from a technical point of view, burning dual-layer media is a lot more difficult and that's why it's important to use high quality media.

Switch Output to Device.

Just to confirm, you're burning using the Build mode, right? The files are in alphabetical order in the filesystem, so it's your player that's sorting them differently. Try renaming them to 001-filename.mp3 , 002-filename.mp3, etc to see if it works better.

Try burning at 8x or 12x to see if it works better. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.

Yes, the PS3 can read DivX. You'll need to use DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar programs to convert your videos before burning and then they'll play fine on any DVD player.

Why do you need to burn at 2.4x? The 4x (or even faster) write speed should work fine.

Look for the latest chipset and/or storage drivers for your system (this website might help).

Post the whole log of that burn. Were you using the computer while burning? If you were then that's also what could've caused the buffer underrun.

Yup, most burners automatically booktype DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM.

Use the LITE-ON tab of the Change Book Type dialog and you'll see if it does support booktyping DVD+R DL media or not. By the way, the booktype on the disc is only changed when you burn it, hence why Physical Format Information (Last Recorded).

ImgBurn shows you the real average/maximum speeds, not the speed it should've been. If you compare ImgBurn's log in post #3 and the one you posted from disc studio you'll see that the latter actually took more time to burn.

The logs are useful in all situations so post yours.

You could try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps but most likely the problem is the memorex blanks. Try with Verbatim DVD+R DL blanks or other brands until you find one that works consistently with your burner.

Post the text shown in the Log window (Edit -> Select All then paste here). Does the drive recognised burned discs? What about single layer blank discs?

Make sure you're using the latest ImgBurn version with the default settings and then do a full erase on your BD-RE disc. Then you'll be able to burn it at 2x.

Depends on what's inside those disc images and how you want to combine them. If it's audio or video you'll need to user other software to combine them, e.g. DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD, etc. If it's game/application then you'll need to mount those images and build a disc with their content, but there's a chance that it won't work due to copy protection or similar.
