  2. Yes, those Verbatim DVD+RW discs are the good stuff, but unless you have use for all the 25 rewritables of the page you've linked, get the 3-pack instead Also, I forgot to mention earlier: is your Q: drive an external HD or flash drive/pendrive? Or were you using it while burning? It couldn't keep up with 4x write speed, which is pretty slow.
  3. Either your burner doesn't properly support that disc or that disc is damaged/worn out. Try with a Verbatim DVD+RW disc to see how it turns out. Alternatively you could burn on write once media since they're cheap and much more reliable.
  4. You don't have a DVD burner: you only have one CD burner and one DVD reader.
  5. You're confusing disc capacity with file systems, which themselves don't have a disc size limit. Also a disc doesn't need to have only one filesystem. If the source disc you're copying is dual-layer then you'll need a dual-layer blank to burn it.

  7. Please use the Search feature above in this page as it's been asked and answered many times now.
  8. Read again
  9. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it doesn't work then use a lens cleaning disc on it. Where are your Verbatim blanls made? It's printed on the box/packaging/spindle.
  10. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. If it doesn't work at first then try burning at 4x. Also close all programs, including the ones in the system tray, and don't use the computer while burning, in order to prevent buffer underruns like you had.
  11. Use a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
  12. Try using Windows Update then, maybe it'll be able to install the service packs. Also look for the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset and/or storage controller(s).
  13. The OS you use for burning shouldn't make any difference.
  14. ImgBurn queries the Disc ID from the burner, so, apart from a firmware bug, a bad filter driver or storage controller driver could cause that. Please post your Filter Driver Load Order and also look for win7 drivers for your storage controller(s).
  15. The slowest speed doesn't necessarily result in a better burn quality, especially on newer burners like the ones you have: they are better tuned for faster speeds. Have you considered that the reading problems you've had could be caused by low quality blanks? By the way there's CL01 for your LG burner.
  16. You have to click on a disc image from the Queue list, so that you can set it only for the images you want deleted.
  17. Please click the Copy to Clipboard button in that Filter Driver Load Order dialog and then paste here
  18. Please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu). Do you have Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% installed? Or any other burn/optical storage related programs?
  19. You can use SIW to find out the brand and model of your storage controllers. If you think the problem is somehow caused by the graph data thread you can disable graph generation in ImgBurn's settings.
  20. You didn't verify any of the burns so we don't know if the discs were properly burned or not. Hint: leave Verify enabled, that's why it's there and enabled by default Slim burners are rubbish in general and yours (MATSHITA BD-RE UJ235A) is the brand that takes the crown in the garbage segment, so avoid using it if you can. Now your older burner, the Optiarc AD-7170A is pretty good and the problem you're having could be due to the old firmware the drive has, so update its firmware to the latest version (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try burning at a slower speed, e.g. 6x or 4x. Also this Optiarc burner should do a good job burning the Verbatim blanks.
  21. Your drive did a bad job burning that disc at 4x, so try 2x to see how it turns out. If it doesn't work then burn to write-once media.
  22. Put them in the root of the disc if you can, and remember to use large files so that you use more space on the disc
  23. Try the 2.00 firmware update, and if it doesn't work then try the 1.04 firmware, which I know that works because I'm using it in my burner As for their instructions they tell you to do that to minimize the chance of flashing the wrong drive or having errors communicating with the drive (can happen when using old/bad cables). Since you've updated before and didn't have problems then you don't need to worry about it. Closing all programs, removing any disc from the drive and closing the tray is all you need to do before updating.
  24. Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and try again. Also what you can do is add a few random large files to your compilation (rename them to 00000000.000 00000000.001 etc using advanced input mode) and your BD Video content will be pushed further into the 2nd "half" of the disc, probably bringing the freezing point to earlier in the movie.
  25. If it fixed the errors then it should be OK to burn again.
